Classics Incorporated is Proud to Announce the Launching of Their New Web Site this Week

Featuring an array of services that runs the gamut in comic book and art collecting, classicsincorporated.com also has a lot of new information regarding hot-button topics in the hobby, like pressing and restoration grading standards. "We've worked hard to create a service for each section of the market — it doesn't matter if your comics are in Fair condition or Near Mint. Whether you're a collector or investor, there's something on our Web site for you," explains Matt Nelson, president of Classics Incorporated. "Our experience in the hobby is extensive, so you can feel confident that you're getting information from the horse's mouth, so to speak."

Nelson is excited about offering new information to the collecting community regarding pressing, conservation, restoration, and removal. "I've always been a firm believer that a more informed collector contributes to a stronger, healthier market in the long run. Restoration has been, and continues to be, one of the great complexities of comic book collecting. For example, today we use a 25-point grading scale for unrestored comics, but grading standards for restored comics have yet to evolve past a 3-point scale. It's something that is just so hard to wrap your head around."

The Web site also delves into the nuances of pressing, and how it benefits collectors. "Pressing is another area of mystery, especially due to the fact that the service is relatively new to a lot of people," Nelson explains. "This is one area of the Web site on which we focused a lot of attention, explaining which books are good candidates, and when it's beneficial to use pressing." There are also several before-and-after examples pictured on the site, which include cost and turn time for each. Nelson also stated that, if desired, when your comic books are finished at Classic Incorporated he will also ship them directly to CGC for you.

Classics Incorporated has been in the comic book restoration business for over a decade, with articles and research published in both the Overstreet Price Guide and Overstreet Grading Guide, CBM, CBG, and other various collector magazines. Their office in Dallas is also open to clients by appointment. If you have any questions, please contact Matt Nelson at comics@classicsincorporated.com.
