Greetings Fellow Collectors,
I'm touching base with you to let you know that there’s a lot going on here at Vintage Collectables this week. First, I’ve just returned from New York Comic Con with a low- to mid-grade collection of Golden Age comics, consisting of hundreds of books, with many key covers and first issues! Some examples are: USA Comics #1; All Select Comics #1; Air Fighters Comics #9; Mighty Mouse #1; Donald Duck FC #29; Human Torch #3 (#2); Shock Suspenstories #1; Weird Tales of the Future #1; Wonderworld Comics #s 4, 6, 9, and 19; Sparkler Comics #1; Power Comics #3; National Comics #3; The Funnies #57 (first Captain Midnight); Slam-Bang Comics #3 (Classic Cover) and #4; Yellow Jacket Comic #7; Fighting American #1; Spy Smasher #1; Strange Worlds #2; Super Comics #1; Suspense Comics #5; Weird Comics #s 7, 9, 12, and 16; Whiz Comics #s 4 and 7; Worlds of Fear #10 (Classic Eyeballs Cover); and Yankee Comics #s 1 and 2…just to name a few. ALL of these comics will be auctioned on eBay starting later this week at my handle NJPower2000 at way below market value!
Next, my May 2008 Comic Book/Comic Art Web site auction will commence bidding on May 10 and run through May 25. By popular request, lot end-times will be staggered for this auction, allowing bidders more time to get their final bids in. Some of the highlights of this auction are Daring Mystery Comics #1, CGC 9.4; Denver Pedigree, Shield-Wizard Comics #1, CGC 9.2; Denver Pedigree, Amazing Spider-Man #129, CGC 9.6; More Fun Comics #85, CGC 9.4; Chamber of Darkness #8, CGC 9.8; Avengers #11, CGC 9.2; Fantastic Four #10, CGC 8.0; All Star Comics #18, CGC 9.4; Green Hornet Comics #20, CGC 9.4; Journey into Mystery #83, CGC 4.5…again just to name a few.
Lastly, I also picked up a near run of really nice Famous Monsters of Filmland and near runs of other popular monster mags, such as Spacemen and Monster World, also while in New York. Some of these will be sold privately to collectors and others will be slated for my next Web site auction. Please send your want lists!
