Hundreds more 1975–1985 CGC Comics Every Week at HA.com
Look for 100 or more CGC 9.8 copies of G.I. Joe, Transformers, Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns and other 1980s books in every Sunday Internet Comics Auction at HA.com throughout 2009, Heritage Auction Galleries announced.
"Don’t misunderstand," said Lon Allen, director of sales for the comics division of Heritage. "Our Golden and Silver Age selection is not going to decrease one bit — this Bronze and Modern Age push is in addition to the $75,000-plus worth of comics and original art that we already sell every week. We don't usually auction much post-1975 material, but we make an exception for certified 9.8 books!"
Allen offered a sneak preview of some of the upcoming keys: "Every sale should have books like Secret Wars #8, Wolverine Limited Series #1, Thor #337, Amazing Spider-Man in the #150-300 range, Avengers #170-200, Fantastic Four #200-300, X-Men #100-270, and Star Wars #1-107. Also look for all the other late-70s Marvels that "Generation X" kids grew up on, like Defenders, Godzilla, Ghost Rider, The Invaders, Incredible Hulk, etc.”
Registering to bid at HA.com is free and quick, and bidders in the Sunday auction can place their secret maximum bids anytime during the week.
