ComicsPriceGuide.com To Exhibit Oldest CGC 10.0 Comic And Many Other Unique Comic Books At Baltimore Comic-Con

Posted on 9/23/2008

ComicsPriceGuide.com, will be hosting a diverse display of rare, historical, and interesting comic books covering most eras of the hobby at their booth #1110 at the Baltimore Comic-Con this weekend September 27-28, 2008. Included in the display will be the oldest CGC certified 10.0 Gem Mint comic book from 1949 as well as other historically significant books.

To date, CGC has certified over one million comic books in many different grades, but has only graded one comic from the Golden Age a 10.0 Gem Mint (the highest grade that can ever be given to a comic book). The book has never been publicly displayed and will make its first public appearance in Baltimore. This book is not for sale and may never be!

"We felt that showcasing some rare and significant books in Baltimore would be a great opportunity for collectors to view books that are typically never seen at conventions" said Tom Gordon III, Comics Price Guide President. "One of the most valuable things we can all do in our hobby is share and educate fellow collectors and hobbyists."

"The comic display in Baltimore is just one of several projects we are going to be unveiling to our hobby over the coming months" commented Comics Price Guide founder and CEO Bryan Neely. "We will also be on hand to answer any questions our fellow hobbyists have about these upcoming events as well as questions about ComicsPriceGuide.com. We are looking forward to meeting all attending this great convention."
