Dave Kopera Joins CGC Grading Team

SARASOTA, Flori­da (March 3, 2015) — The Certified Guaranty Company (CGC), an independent member of the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) of companies, has hired Dave Kopera, long-time industry hobbyist and high-end collector, as a member of the CGC grading team.

"We are very excited to have Dave Kopera join our team of graders,” said CGC Primary Grader Paul Litch. “He brings great knowledge and skills learned from a lifetime of collecting comics. His addition will undoubtedly help propel CGC forward.”

Kopera has spent over 30 years purchasing raw comics, many of which were from notable pedigree collections such as Mile High, Northland, White Mountain and Oakland. A CGC dealer for over a decade, Kopera became well-known for his talent in spotting high-grade, raw Silver Age books, many of which became the highest of their type graded by CGC.

CGC Director of Operations Harshen Patel commented, “Having Dave Kopera, with his 30-plus years of experience, solidifies and strengthens our grading team. We have made strides towards reducing turnaround times, and this addition only helps further our progress in that area.”
