Last Chance to Consign to ComicLink’s January Focused Auction

This auction will be divided into four distinct sessions, giving ComicLink’s sellers the best possible exposure for their items and buyers focused bidding environments for their collecting interests.

ComicLink’s January Focused Auction launches on January 11, 2012, but there is still time to consign to this event! This auction will include a tremendous variety of material ranging from Golden, Silver and Bronze Age keys, to high-grade Moderns and original comic art from the 1940s to present.





























Session 1 of the auction spotlights select Silver and Bronze Age comics. Ranging from some of the most sought after first issues and introductions of the 1960s and 70s to hard-to-find high-grades from the most popular runs, the growing preview is already loaded with exceptional highlights. Just a few of the top Silver and Bronze Age highlights already added (consignments are still being accepted) are Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 4.0 (1st Spider-Man), Amazing Spider-Man #32 CGC 9.8 (highest and 1 of 3), Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 CGC 9.6 (2nd highest), Aquaman #1 CGC 9.2, Avengers #4 CGC 9.6 (Highest!), Avengers #4 CGC 9.4 (2nd highest, 1st SA Captain America), Conan #1 CGC 9.8 (highest), Fantastic Four #1 CGC 5.5, Fantastic Four #48 CGC 9.8 (highest, 1st Silver Surfer and Galactus), Flash #126 CGC 9.4 (highest), Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 5.0, Incredible Hulk #181 CGC 9.8(1st Wolverine), Journey Into Mystery #83 CGC 6.5 (1st Thor), Journey Into Mystery #90 CGC 9.4 (2nd Highest), Metal Men #1 CGC 9.6 (2nd highest), Tales of Suspense #39 CGC 8.0 (1st Iron Man) and X-Men #1 CGC 8.0.

Session 2 of the auction focuses on Golden Age comics. This segment of the auction will include both certified comics from the 1930s, 40s and 50s, as well as comics graded by the ComicLink staff in single and multiple comic lots. Just a few of the Golden Age highlights already posted to the growing preview include All Star Comics #49 CGC 9.2 (single highest), Big All-American Comic Book #1 CGC 3.0, Boy Commandos #21 CGC 9.4 (single highest), Detective Comics #51 CGC 4.5, Four Color Comics #238 CGC 9.4 (highest and 1 of 3), Four Color #386 CGC 4.0 ("Uncle Scrooge" #1 by Barks), Human Torch #16 CGC 9.2 (2nd highest), Indians #2 CGC 9.2 (highest), Kid Komics #10 CGC 9.6 (single highest), Sheena, Queen of the Jungle #1 CGC 3.0, Slave Girl #1 CGC 5.0 (headlights cover), Spy Smasher #10 CGC 7.0 (anti-Hitler WWII cover), Superman #2 CGC 3.0, Suspense Comics #10 CGC 4.5 (L.B. Session 3 showcases CGC graded late Bronze Age, Copper Age and Modern Comics dating from after 1975. This session is loaded with high grades from some of the most highly demanded titles and includes some exceptional, unique items. The most significant standout in this session is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 in CGC 9.8 (highest graded, 1 of only 3 in the world in 9.8!). Two of the other standouts are Star Wars #59 CGC 10 (single highest and the only Star Wars 10) and X-Men #124 CGC 9.9 (single highest). Other keys included in the growing preview include Amazing Spider-Man #300 CGC 9.8, Bone #1 CGC 9.6 (second highest), Daredevil #168 CGC 9.6 (1st Elektra), Iron Fist #14 CGC 9.6 (1st Sabretooth), Miracleman #15 CGC 9.6, Spider-Man #1 CGC 10 (highest), Ultimate Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.8 White Cover Variant (highest) and Wolverine Limited Series #1 CGC 9.8.

Session 4 includes assorted comic books in single and multiple comic book lots and a variety of original comic art dating from the 1940s to the present day.
