Grades are starting to come in...
...and so far the stats on the grades are like this:
50 books submitted
22 graded 9.8
6 graded 9.6 (our pre-screen min.)
5 more to be graded
So I had 33 of the 50 get graded, though I don't know the grade on 5 of them yet. I couldn't be happier so far. Hopefully I'll have a much bigger and even happier journal shortly.
the process becomes clearer
Don't mean to circumvent FEDERICO's great journals that were just posted so check those out, great reads!
At last check 2 of the 3 pre-screen invoices I submitted were in "scheduled for grading" status and of those 2 invoices 75% had a category leading me to believe they'd passed the pre-screen.
It was since pointed out to me by another very helpful fellow CS member that sometimes the non-category books do come back...it's the 1% chance, but they aren't being to
2 of 3 invoices Scheduled for Grading
2 of the 3 invoices submitted for pre-screen were scheduled for grading today. The largest invoice is still verified but logically that tells me it should be next so hopefully tomorrow.
The three invoices make up the lot of 50 submitted because 50 books won't fit on a CGC invoice as most of us are already aware.
A very helpful board member (one of many) let me know that once the Category is filled on when it is Scheduled for Grading that means the boo
Waiting on CGC is a pleasure
Sent in a pre-screen lot of 50 modern comics to CGC. It's my first pre-screen lot of hopefully several I send in the next year. Comics were received on Oct. 25 and went to VERIFIED a week or more ago.
I know what the wait times show, and I don't mind not knowing how the pre-screen may add to those times. I'm not worried or concerned or upset with CGC in any way. They do a marvelous job and I know however long the grading takes is because they don't cut corner
Added 22 Sensational She-Hulk in one claim
I'd been picking up rogue She-Hulk titles of the CGC 9.8 variety that I found at affordable prices while on my quest to obtain a complete run of Savage She-Hulk in 9.8 (only have one to go!).
As my Savage She-Hulk search is winding down I started to look around at the other She-Hulk titles I own and figured my next goal would be to fill in the other She-Hulk runs, with a priority on Sensational She-Hulk first. Sounds reasonable in my head.
I have
Years, yes years of searching and a missed close call...the elusive CGC 9.8 Savage She-Hulk #25 has just joined the collection.
Thanks to a fellow collectors society member who happened to see one of my journal entries about my search for Savage She-Hulk #25, the lead I was given lead to results. I now have every issue in CGC 9.8 except issue #22, of which I have a 9.6 placeholder right now.
It's been a long search, frustrating but fun all the way. Still have #22 to go so the journey isn't
sniped again
Since I was sniped on a Savage She-Hulk #25 CGC 9.8 on ebay about a year ago I haven't even sniffed another #25 in this condition, graded or ungraded. My max bid? $200. Price sold? $201. The search continues. I'm only two books away from my goal of having EVERY issue CGC 9.8; #25 and #22.
Are they sitting in somebody's closet somewhere?

CGC comics in the mail are like xmas morning
Just got a package from CGC and it included a #23 Savage She-Hulk graded 9.8. 7 more to go...gosh this is fun!
I've taken a big step toward getting the entire Savage She-Hulk vol. 1 in CGC 9.8.
Four more books (14, 15, 19, and 20) bring me to 68% complete. 17 down, only 8 more to go. Days like today are exciting. The tough part is still ahead. #25 is going to be tough since it's low circulation and a solid black cover.
Of the 8 I'm missing all but #21 have a 9.8 somewhere already graded. I actually have a few #21's at CGC right now that I'm hoping to get one 9.8 out of. Most of the other 7 only
