Let's stop the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (and maybe MARVEL) VARIANT MADNESS

Have all become Variant slaves? Hello to everybody!   I decided to post about what I call the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN VARIANT MADNESS. We have been seeing variants over variants of the same issues in the last few years... and I wonder: DO WE NEED THEM? 1. I HATE THIS HABIT OF ARTIFICIALLY MAKING A VARIANT BOOK "RARE" JUST BECAUSE IT COMES OUT AT A 1:50 RATIO 2. DO ALL THESE SO CALLED "NEW ARTISTS" DESERVE TO DRAW AN AMAZING SPIDER-MAN COVER? I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT AN AS COVER SHOULD BE

I submitted AF15 and AS33 for the private Stan Lee signing and this is what I got..........

read read read HELLO fellow collectors... last month I received an email from CGC with the opportunity to submit books for a private Stan Lee signing. I thought it was a great thing so I bought a relatively cheap Amazing Fantasy 15 on ebay and took out from of one of my boxes my favourite book: Amazing Spider-Man 33. The AF 15 had been badly restored in an amateur way decades ago so I decided NOT to have the book PRO-restored... The book was effectively not worth the pain of being PRO exte

AF15 + AS1 + AS700 ...high-grade CGC books on the same table Hello fellow collectors! Last week I received from CGC one of my latest submissions : AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 700, Ditko Variant! It received a decent 9.6...but when I looked at that vintage cover I thought that it would have been nice to reunite the grandfather and father of this comic book...and take a family picture! All three books belong to my collection and their particularity is that I did not purchase them already slabbed b

ETERNALS (1976-1978 Kirby) SET COMPLETED !!!!

...in 9.4 and higher! Hello my friends...yes.... I did it! After a long long search I have finally completed my Eternals Set in high grade!!! The Eternals (1976) is one of my favourite Bronze age runs! Incredibly intriguing plot plus Jack Kirby art = A REAL MASTERPIECE! It was not an easy task to complete this high grade run. I submitted most of the books to CGC by myself: some of them were purchased from Superworld Comics, some others were found inside a closet in my parents&#39

DO WE COLLECT SERIAL NUMBERS or GRADED COMIC BOOKS?

About the bad habit of not uploading cover scans in the registry... This simple thought has been buzzing in my head for a while: Do we collect serial numbers or comics? I would like to involve all the friends of the collector's society on this issue ... I usually browse other collectors' registry sets but, most of the times, I just find lists of serial numbers without covers scans nor descriptions. Isn't this sad? For this reason, in the past two months I have decided to write descri
