What Do I NEED To Get NOW!!!

What Silver Age comics am I going to wish I had not dragged my feet on purchasing one, two or five years down the line? I remember about ten years ago seeing a BIN on eBay that consisted of AF15 CGC 5.0, and ASM1 thru 9 all CGC ranging from 5.0 to 7.5. the price? $15,000. I dreamed of liquidating a sizable part of my collection to get the lot, but I was never really going to pull the trigger and I knew it. Of course who wouldn't make that deal now? So what is out there waiting to be had NOW? A

What do I need now?

Six years ago I asked everybody in the CGC registry world what I needed to  get before it was too late. I recounted the story of how I missed out on acquiring an AF 15 and ASM 1-10 that I regret to this day. I then threw out my sleeper prediction... Strange Tales annual 2. I still believe that book is sound asleep. The suggestions I got were Daredevil 1, Avengers 55 and Avengers 57. I got all three and I am glad I did. What do I need to get now?

TTA 2

I finally got a TTA 2 for my collection I have been working on pre-hero TTA and TOS collections for about a decade now and an acceptable TTA 2 has been elusive (I had a CGC 2.0 at one time). It was the last tough to get issue for me either series... I now have 1-4 in both and TTA 13. There is still a ways to go TTA and I am really close in TOS, but I think eventually they will all come along. It has been and continues to be fun! TTA 2

I finally got a TTA 2 for my collection I have been working on pre-hero TTA and TOS collections for about a decade now and an acceptable TTA 2 has been elusive (I had a CGC 2.0 at one time). It was the last tough to get issue for me either series... I now have 1-4 in both and TTA 13. Real Hulk 1

New Rack

I recently picked up this nice three tier spinner rack on the side of the road! Must have been for magazines because it is perfect for CGC's.

High Grade Pre-Hero All three are pretty high on the census. I might add that I think the new holders are an improvement over the old... I don't think they will be as susceptible cracking. Good or Bad???

It is interesting to me how something that is appealing to one collector is a turn-off to another. In addition to all the different approaches on what to collect, it is also fascinating what different collectors find to be appealing in a comic. Condition-wise I can accept an "honest wear CGC 4.0" silver-age key as well as the "would be a 7.0 if not for the chunk out of the back cover CGC 4.0" silver-age key. I will also try to get as high a grade as possible on non-keys. My ASM 1-20 range fr

A Bit More ON DC War

While OAAW 83, SSWS 90 and GIC 86 have not been cheap for some time , most DC war comics have been relatively inexpensive yet hard to find.
