first times...they can be painful, joyous...satisfying and incomplete.

submitted my first 4 books...finally got the results

quick summary...having been reading comics for over 30+ years. Got hooked on Spider-man, though eventually my brother's influence of Claremont's X-men won me over. went away and sold off all my collections time and time again but this time I'm back for good. I've read and collected almost all the main characters for both DC/Marvel, but I eventually came back to my first, Spider-Man.

I'll tell the early stories later on, but today I was finally able to see what my first 4 submissions (using the coupons) yielded.

I submitted ASM 121, ASM 41, and ASM 26. I also submitted an Iron Man 55.

I obtained the ASM from a guy who purchased a storage locker, he ended up selling me about 100+ ASM comics, of which these 3 were a part of. I've been selling the lower grade, non key issues on ebay for months and using the money to obtain higher grade/key Marvel issues. Based on my grading, and those of other CGC copies I found on the internet, I predicted ASM121 at a 8, ASM41 at a 7.5 and ASM26 at a 7

The Iron Man comic I purchased from a local comic book store at a convention. The dealer said it was a very good to fine, however I thought for sure it was a 5.5 at best.

So I handed those comics in at C2E2, along with about 30 others (Economy Tier) and have been checking the site every day since.

Well the first 4 finally shipped. The scores;

ASM 121 = Universal 7.0 (white pages)

ASM 41 = Universal 8.5 (white pages)

ASM 26 = Universal 7.5 (off white to white)

and Iron Man 55?

QUALIFIED 5.5. It appears there is a page missing AKA INCOMPLETE. I never bothered to look. I never do, I keep getting burned when I pick something up and forget to look and count the pages.

Well at least the big winner was ASM41. I thought it looked good when I saw it, definitely a keeper. The other 3 will probably be sold and the money used to obtain a higher end ASM121.

Moving forward, I will count the pages. 1,2,3,4,5....36.
