Fan Fest 2014...

I know I just wrote a journal, but I had two things I wanted to chat about.

So this past Saturday my wife and I attended her company Christmas party, held every year in Phoenix on the baseball field where the Diamondbacks play. We had a great time...it was a Latin theme with hot dancers, a performance by Pitbull (and some guy I hadn't heard of, Daddy Yankee), and the food/drink was even better than last year.

This brings me to the next morning when we decided to check out the inaugural Fan Fest comic book convention...held in Glendale on the football field where the Cardinals play. How cool is that? Now if only there had been an event on Friday on the Suns basketball court I could have completed the trifecta, .

Anyway, it was a small convention, put on by the same people that do the Phoenix Con in May. Still, there were several dealers and lots of fun stuff to check out so I'm glad we went. My favorite dealer was there, Ed Robertson, so it's always good to catch up with him, and I did walk away with a few nice copies of TOS for my collection. I'm looking forward to watching this con grow next year with even more comics!
