One of my top horror grails obtained

It's been no secret (no pun intended) that a fellow horror collector was selling off his collection in recent months. I've been drooling over his House of Secrets #81 CGC 9.4 Pacific Coast copy for years, as I think its the best example we have to date.

On the boards, we have looked over several 9.4s (there is another Pacific Coast 9.4) and all have more defects than what I prefer in a 9.4. This copy has only two noticeable defects-the upper left has a very minor impact and thus a soft corner, and there is one very faint color breaking crease in the upper right. The corners are all relatively sharp.

So, while I have purchased a significant number of comics from him, I was able to get first dibbs on this book. Granted, this wasn't cheap, but this issue is almost as hard to find as my remaining House of Mystery early issues-namely #175, #176, and #179.

My House of Secrets set is almost complete; there are later issues that I have to acquire. I hope I can have this set 100%complete within a year or two.
