  2. Definitely not my favorite Gil Kane cover. There a probably are some good covers that prominently features somebody's posterior. But for me, this doesn't qualify.
  3. Well, I can't top that one tonight and I have some things to get ready for tomorrow so I need to clip that jay here and will resume tomorrow after work. Thanks
  4. Ok gang, I did get back from work late tonight, and the kids want ice cream. I just finished dinner. Figure those final seven probably about 10ish Eastern tonight, just a little later than the other nights. I do have to shoot a couple pix, too.
  5. All good, Alan. We lose so much in online communication without vocal intonation and facial/body expression. I’ve had fine exchanges/board deals with Rob and I just take it as a straight question. It’s all good, everyone.
  6. My son told me he made a mold from the GI Joe called "WetSuit". He did injection molding using red plastic so he wouldn't have to paint any red.
  7. Yeah. Sgt Slaughter was a WWF wrestler and then became a GI Joe. I would think a Cobra Crimson Guard would be a good starting point but I lost track of the Joes after around 1986ish. I know it's not version one but maybe a later version or some other red Cobra guy? Usually it takes a kit bash as well as some putty and sculpting.
  8. Nude On Thin Ice by Gil Brewer Avon T-470 Paperback original, first print 1960 $70 Pretty, glossy copy. Slight spine slant, a few light bends, small chip on back.
  9. BINGO... have you ever watched the older episodes of American Pickers? *BUNDLE BUNDLE BUNDLE*... it's a great way to spread the real vs perceived value of some items across more variables/items. Maybe you think XYZ Comic #2 is worth $10, but XYZ Comic #3 is worth $28. Someone else may think the reverse, so if you bundle them at $31-35, that comes off seeming like a good deal to the buyer and seller since you never know exactly how they perceive the individual item values vs the collective values ...
  10. Would have been more convincing if Lothar was holding it.

  12. Just completed the 2nd Ballantine Tarzan series with Robert Abbett covers. I was surprised they only published the 1st 18 books. The 3rd series with the white borders used the Abbett covers for the 1st 18 and the Richard Powers covers from the 1st series were used for the last 6. I don’t really care for the Powers covers but I’ll probably pick up the 1st series someday. I definitely want the 4th series with the Adams and Boris covers.
  13. Somewhere in this House by Rufus King Popular Library No. 276 1950 $25 Another nice "Killer" Belarski cover, switchblade this time. Tight and glossy. Has slight slant, a very faint reader crease and very light wear. A gorgeous cover
  14. maybe it was pressed by previous owner ...but I dont remember any 'crunch' upon receiving the raw..I did not use any pressing service

  16. Why you, or I, (or anyone) should find it necessary to defend or justify this transaction is utterly nonsensical. The thread was up for days, and multiple people made multiple purchases. The recap post was up for 10 hours before I sent the PM. But honestly, what difference does that even make? If I had seen the thread sooner, my stack may have been even higher! Do I have to ask permission from the lurkers in order to buy a book on a forum for buying/selling books? Or you apologize for selling them? What Bizarro World is this?
  17. While Murder Waits by John Esteven Popular Library No. 343 1951 $25 Real nice copy of a "Killer" Belarski cover Square, tight and glossy with a faint reader crease and a little indent to back spine area.
