Because of the Pandemic and then the writers strikes his company "Crafty Apes" has had a ton of layoffs. He's been one of the lucky ones who still has his job. Part of that is because of seniority within the company, and part of that is because he's rally good at the job. I think it's a pretty bad time to get into the visual effects world. We really need movies to fully recover and for Marvel to start hitting some home runs. Maybe Deadpool will be the start of that.

Question about Witnessed Signatures....if a book is signed by multiple people in one sitting, does the witness and cgc charge per signature, or is it one flat fee? Thanks

Unless CGC is cash poor (unlikely), the logical explanation is they plan on lowballing everyone's compensation based on what they get from their insurance. If they wanted to do right by their customers, they would compensate fairly and promptly and then get what they can from insurance after the fact. I hope I am wrong.

I had reason to be on the Walt Disney Studios lot yesterday and went over to see if I could snap a picture of the Carl Barks Legends plaque. I found it fairly quickly and snapped my photo. I wanted to look for Walt Kelly but I am not sure if he was ever given a plaque or not. I know I have seen Kay Kamen (KK Publications) before but did not see it on this trip. Enjoy!
