Admittedly, besides EC Comics, GA isn't my bag. I appreciate the era and it's history and creators, but I prefer comics characteristic of my youth. And I'm not sure if I even heard of Baker until my return to the hobby a few years back. Heck, it might've been @Funnybooks profile pic that initially turned me on to him. Anyways, whether this is the start of a love affair or not (I understand his draw), I thought my collection ought to have an example of Baker's work in it. Thanks to @Point Fivefor his advice last week when I was thinking about purchasing this book. And although I found it's contents online to read (https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=21657), it'll be out of the slab and in Mylar by weekend's end.

More Golden Age WWII Cartoon and Comic Artist Items
sfcityduck replied to sfcityduck's topic in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only
Re-Listed: 1942 Joe Dope WWII Training Poster by Will Eisner Ignore the background its another poster. This poster is 82 years old and was a working poster displayed at camp, base, or where ever it would do some good. Like most of the original posters (which I guarantee this is), it has pin holes in the corners. It is 14" x 18" (the fakes usually aren't) and is on the right paper stock. But this is one is a cut above others I've seen as it has square corners, bright colors, and looks vibrant. PRICE: $400 or best offer. -

Sweet Lou 14 started following Misnamed set?

There's a registry set called "Marvel Silver Age 1st Issues (1956-1969)" that actually doesn't have any of the early Silver Age Marvel #1s (ASM #1, DD #1, FF #1, Hulk #1, X-Men #1, etc.). At a quick glance, it seems to me that there's a typo in the set name and that it should really be 1966-1969. Here's the list of what's in the set:
