The girlies might have been less offensive than some of that weird menace you collect Good on your neighbor for walking them down. I'm not hating on the USPS, but I swear there will be periods where I'm delivering something to one of my neighbors that got put in my box every week or two. You must live in a pretty quiet berg for a Film Fun Annual to raise any eyebrows Love both of these books. Bolles has some very refined work on this era of Snappy Stories, and the Driben is one of his best earlier covers.

Somebody will yell squirrel and the market will run after the next hot thing so my money this being a temp fad and people should be selling if they want top dollar. His stuff isn't reigniting due to young people loving it and it's not like he is tapping into current politics or fashions so I don't think it has legs. Great art is all over the place (ie Art Adams stuff is way better) but you don't see people paying 5x prices for his stuff all the sudden.

Considering that first appearance was hyped before anyone knew what the content of the book was, certainly initially popularity was speculator-driven. Probably too early in the game to tell whether the character will also be a fan favorite. Slott seems legitimately excited about the story he has to tell, and it never hurts when a creative team is producing what they want to, rather than something driven by editorial and marketing, to get characters from where they are now, to some point they want them to be at, for the next big crossover, media tie-in, etc. I think what will be more important is whatever happens to the character when Slott is done with the story he wants to tell.
