  1. Past hour
  2. Number 6 is Number 1 in my book. Gorgeous book arrived today, everything pretty. Thanks so much. I started reading it again, of course, and am hooked.
  3. Four Color 408 (Donald Duck and The Golden Helmet) Sweden 1954 VERY RARE !!! Awesome Carl Barks cover, art, story Book is complete; spine is completely split and both covers are detached from book; both staples are fully attached to rest of book $49
  4. Good luck! Very cool, dynamic cover. Don't see it pop up very often.
  5. Yeah, I'm in that boat as well - but I still have hopes to pick up a tight sketch someday. This was a neat auction to watch the last few hours of the bidding.
  6. Four Color 386 (Uncle Scrooge 1) Sweden 1954 VERY RARE !!! Awesome Carl Barks cover, art, story Staples fully attached at cover and centerfold; book is complete; spine mostly intact with some tears, a few small splits $99
  7. Yeah, the two-people-bidding scenario is a average killer. That's probably the likely explanation - but man, what a jump in price.
  8. Thanks, BTW. Now I'm looking for this copy.
  9. Sheena was beautiful, but she didn't get tied up much. LOL.
  10. Whitman is one of my favs. His ladies sported some hellacious curves.
  11. Right? I can't even afford the green slime!
  12. Yep, I like the greens better on #15 too, but the pose Ann has on #12 may be the sexiest of the GA.
  13. Kaanga #12 is great, but #15 is my favorite of the run. Incredible Whitman bondage cover, and those jade greens really pop!
  14. When they do that say, "Oh wow that's a $100 book. I must have been tired when i priced that one..." Then pull out a pen and mark it up to $100 and say, "Thanks for pointing that one out!"
  15. I think this is essentially correct. Most of the Vancouvers shown here have a CGC certification/serial number that begins with either 00785 (which dates to 2003) or 07799 (which dates to 2007). That being said, the only CGC-certified copy of Scream Comics from the Vancouver Collection (Scream #7) has S/N 0779974016. It's interesting that the immediately preceding book from that invoice (S/N 0779974015) is now MIA -- which may indicate that it was removed from its holder and that the label was returned to CGC. All very curious.
  16. I'm glad the plate got cleaned when it did...Was starting to calculate just how low Gene might go without getting mad...Hope somebody slabs some of these--would like to see how CGC describes the sigs....
  17. Due to a surprising Ebay auction, I received my most recent Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe ‘89 Update art piece from Issue #5 Page 40, Persuasion by Ron Lim (pencils) and Joe Rubinstein (inks): As it appears in print:
