  1. GAH! That puts it mildly out of my price range I was hoping for the $100-200 range.
  2. Phi has excessive amounts of invincible, who'd have thunk it? On a complete side note what's a non LE raw #1 floating around for these days phi?
  3. It depends really on what condition the books are in for the full lot. If #1 is NM and the rest are just as good, I personally would pay 200 for the lot, its convenient and good condition. I pieced mine together quickly. I looked for what was in ebay sellers store, picked the lowest price at NM quality and bought as much as they had so I could combine shipping. If you buy from a bunch of different sellers your going to get killed with shipping costs. That's pretty decent, $4ish a book for 50+books, heck just put aside 20-30 bucks a month and buy the whole set at xmas and individuals till then? then again if it's not that high on your list i've got nothing but ebay as a suggestion so i'm useless.
  4. I Loved those back covers. Plus it was a pleasant surprise to buy a book that didn't have a 'got milk' spiderman/hulk/ironman/juggernaut? on the back (or an ad for some crappy coupe.)
  5. Take it or leave you heard it here first: I'm predicting cat dude, you know oh what'sis name he's only been in two books.... Just as a quick wonder, just how many covers DO you have easy? And on an entirely other note, if i'm not being rude to ask - what they set you back per piece on roughestimate? And as you seem to be in the know, how you source your pieces, i'm really liking the multi invincibles from the other dimension panels... Edit: secretly i'm hoping the character flying in is moustached invincible oh man what i'd do for a story arc of him kicking some ::
  6. She has a stump for a right hand with a sword secured to it? And it grows out of her lower neck... :: Neat cover up of her left leg, though does make me wonder how her thighs go from that position to her left foot in that position....knees bend the other way?
  7. I LOVED the second last page of many invincibles. Adored the moustached viltrumite invincible! Was great to see all the prelim sketches/designs from the collection put into the comic!
  8. Too much handling, too many hands - it's physically impossible. I like to think that every book sent is a 10.0 and that only cgc's handling bumps it down. I apply this logic to all books, golden age and up. I echo the sentiments on selling this bad boy. Hell, i'd make it a private sale and keep my 15% consignment fee...
  9. Heh, i don't know what i'd do if i stumbled into that. Kind of crazy to think that a $3 comic book can be worth so much.......
  10. The human torch one.... where he's flying around the city. The proportions are so off he's the size of a skyscraper... Still, it's great to see a cover where a man is bigger than a plane and his bicep is bigger than the man right next to him's head..
  11. Who is this Kurt person? Invincible/Walking Dead/Astounding Wolfman/Brit writer/creator Robert Kirkman was just made an Image partner last summer -- it absolutely had to do with (a) keeping him at Image because (b) he's their best selling creator. Collections of his work are always topping the sales charts. They want him to bring the same "buzz" to the rest of the Image line so he's writing their big summer crossover. *doh , i may have had a moment of crazy and confused myself but hey  * Ahh yes i see now it really is quite important for image to keep him around what with all the good he's doing for them both with books and buzz "lately". I haven't picked up Brit myself as it just didn't appeal to me in what limited crossovers/covers i've seen in his other books, but if that's going well too then by all means image throw money at this man! As for the OA invincible covers, that people can manage to keep invincible paraphernalia out of phi's hands is impressive
  12. So i was flipping through invincible ( or it might have been walking dead) and i was reading that Kurt got turned into a partner at image eh? Anyone else think this might just have something to do with the fact that he's got 2 (and wolfman is gaining?) popular, self made comic books that have only done wonders for the image comic book company. Also phi - you have too many cgc'd invincibles(sweet #55 - love any cover with a viltrumite on it!) leave some for the rest of the world eh? P.s. Got any OA?
  13. Well, the way i looked at it was kinda the same way i looked at twoface in 'the dark knight'. Essentially in the dark knight, some bad things happen and all it takes is a quick chat with the joker and he's suddenly no longer the by the book good guy he has always been and he's off to kill people. Angstrom went and was trying to get all his friends together so he'd be able to travel around the universes and not transport into a nuke going off. Invincible comes in fighting the bad guys, levy injures himself, and suddenly he's a psychotic killer bent on messing up him and his entire family.... it was just too quick a change. I liked the whole little story arc there ( and i'm a sucker for time travel) but i just didn't think he's got much depth to him.... and while that's great for my mindless psychopath killer, not so much for my semi-genius now suddenly turned psychokiller... Spoiler: and i wish he'd just stayed dead, bringing him back just absolves invincible of having murdered someone in mildy chilly blood oops just noticed you let that cat out of the bag...though i'm sure we all thought it was coming sooner or later...
  14. Really? you *liked* angstrom levy? I didn't like his character at all. To me his character development was sorta like twoface in batman(movie) - i'll just flip to the other side for no apparent reason. Liked the story arc, did NOT like him.
  15. i liked the first two issues alot....i mean, c'mon..who doesn't want to see black terror ride a bomb into the white house (issue #2) i like it better than project superpowers (which i liked alot)... Is this a COVER of him riding a bomb?... I'm always on the look out for people riding bomb like things into the ground covers
