  1. These are awesome Mark. Well done. I'm putting the Antman issues together. Only a few left. Hopefully this year I'll finish. Oh yeah, and Go Lightning!
  2. Scott, Nice group of books! It looks like you saved the best of your collection. Thanks for sharing.
  3. YAY!!!! Thanks for the update Matty!!! I've been looking forward to this book from the very first mention of it. I will buy several copies!!! Everyone here knows how busy you are and nobody expects you to put your life or work on hold to finish this time and money consuming labor of love. Of COURSE we all want to see it done, but most of us understand how much work is going into it and the fact that you will likely NEVER recover all of the time and money you put into this project. Therefore, I personally will wait patiently for the day of it's release (thumbs u ....the Gerber's were worth waiting for....this will be too. GOD BLESS.,.. -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Well said. It doesn't matter how long the wait is, as long as it is done right.
  4. Nice room Donut! I love those Ikea bookcases. I have one of those for my collection as well. They are perfect for a short box or two rows of books.
  5. My oh my...... What horrific loveliness! That's what I call a good batch of reading! And Welcome to the boards!!!
  6. Awesome room AGGIEZ! Really nice layout and spacious. Well done!
  7. Cheetah, Nice Church Black Cats! That Blue Bolt is something else too... One of my favorite Cole covers.....Congrats on adding such beauties to your GA collection. Mr. Ill- You are certainly on a roll! That fac 20 is still on my wantlist. Great book!
  8. Now for the real good stuff... how about a 4 page story from the horrifically sensitive hand of Lou Morales? Enjoy and Happy Halloween my fellow Undead Comic Junkies!
  9. The Thing! #11 I can't say enough about how cool I find this cover. My personal art style is to try and cram 20 pounds into a 5 pound bag. So many nooks and crannies here, including that famous title with it's usual band of critters. Seven kinds of PreCode awesome going on here folks!
  10. Black Magic #21 It took me awhile to find a nice copy of this book at a good price. What drew me in was the dynamic drawing of this tavern scene. So much going on. So expressive. It reminds me of the incredible Dutch painter Frans Hals. Now this is what I call a Halloween party!!
  11. Haven't been buying too much lately but I'm still checking in on this haunted house of collectors! Most of these are from earlier in the year. Two of these are new favorites of mine.....
  12. Lucky dog! I'm still on the hunt for a nice copy.
  13. Been away awhile and just checked this thread. The 101 Cats is amazing! Looks like it was fun. Mine's up next I think!
  14. Awesome books being posted here lately. I haven't been buying too much since moving so it's cool seeing some boardies picking up nice GA horror. That AITU #1 is one of my favorites. Congrats on scoring such a sweet copy. The interior stories on this book are very well done and creepy too.
  15. These look amazing Matthew. It looks like you are having fun with them too. Hope things go well for your family. Take care my friend.
  16. I keep my want list on mycomicshop.com, currently around 500 books on it built from gerber photojournals(if it's pictured, it's on the list. And yes, Exciting 28 is also on the list), some visual searching, and a lot of stumbling. I may compile a more portable text list but right now my budget is quite small so I'm just hunting down a small selection. When I do come up with a list I'll probably post it in my journal, which you can get to through my sig. Thanks for offering to "help" I helped with that Nightmare. Collection looks to be coming together nicely. Congrats!
  17. I've got a large print of this cover that Feldstein signed for me. It hangs in my studio. One of my favorites from this run. Great copy West!
  18. WOW! These are all great but this one is fantastic. I too love the witch hat on Betty. I'm really enjoying this series Matthew. Keep slinging that ink.
  19. This makes a ton of sense to me. Let the backing board be just that. A non-acidic backing board used for support. Then use microchamber paper for the removal of the acidity and off-gasing of the book. Let each one do their job well. I don't want to change out the boards in my entire collection every 3-5 years. It seems very wasteful and expensive. I don't mind changing out microchamber paper in the older books of my collection every 6-9 years though. I prefer Fullbacks in mylar with microchamber paper added to the older books. (thumbs u
  20. Congrats again Matthew! Great photos! You two make a nice couple. I usually wear a suit once or twice a year. Whenever I do, it feel like it's Halloween and I'm wearing a costume. It's usually a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing more of these clever cover recreations.
