Sometimes in pictures, the reflection on the right edge of the bag makes a comic look Marvel chipped when it really isn’t. This is not one of those times.

I’ll admit that I bought it for the original Kirby image of Mr. Fantastic (and because it was a dollar), but I have far less contempt for it than does our Straw-Man. That said, it is a weird thing.

I started getting serious in 1988, and I had put out an APB on FF 1. I got a call a couple of months later, but with the opposite problem: the book was too nice! VF, $900, and I had the money ! I turned it down. The most I had spent up to that point was $75, and my family thought I was nuts to do that. It was the biggest regret of my comic life, and the last time I let public opinion make a decision for me.

Just enjoying my new TTA 12. This issue has both a great Kirby/Ditko collaboration in Gorgilla, and a Ditko solo monster story! Thanks, Jason; and thanks also to bc, whose generosity made it possible!
