  1. what makes this even more interesting is that the CGC label on Noble Causes FS #3 says first appearance of invincible as a cameo..

I have yet to find the book which CGC designates as Invincibles first FULL APPEARANCE (shrug)

I just found a 9.6 CGC book on ebay and it states 1st full for Invincible #1. It's on the second page if you do a search, a little fuzzy but it can be read. Some copies only mention the pin up, others have 1st app info, no great shock that CGC is not consistant. So they totally ignore the preview for Invincible but not for other titles. Hmmmmm...garbage.

Wow, we're wrong about MOTU & SD!! Check out what Kirkman says in this interview:

lol i was just about to sell a copy of tech jacket #1 in my FS thread too (: Looks like I might have to get it graded now :)

  2. The Holiday Special was polybagged with the December issue of Hero back in '93. The five page story at the beginning of the comic has the cousins celebrating the Winter Solstice with Gran'ma Ben & Thorn while Fone, filled with the holiday spirit, brings a freshly baked quiche to a pair of rat creatures in the nearby forest (which they gladly accept). There's also an interview with Jeff and a few reprints of the old Thorn comic strip from his cartooning days at the Ohio State University newspaper, The Lantern (early 80s).

that is the prettiest copy i've ever (and probably will ever) see!! never seen a copy higher than 9.2/9.4 myself.

Great book! I love the story too :) smiley's guitar is great..

  3. If I missed this please forgive. I just scored Noble Causes Family Secrets #3 the other day and discovered another book that came out the same week back in Dec 2002.....Savage Dragon #102. This has a 5 page preview of Invincible #1. I found only one ref. on the net about this book being tied in w/ Invicible. Did you guys know about this? I couldn't even find SD#102 on ebay. That kinda makes SD a bigger book than NCFS doesn't it?

Diamond data link, look under Image books shipping:

Seems like a must have to me!

i was actually just informed about this myself last week!

apparently it contains the same 5 page preview as Masters of the Universe #1 (2002)...

from what i've been told, it came out on the same day as NC FS #3...

this is an important issue, for sure, but as CGC and the rest of the community regard it as a preview (and actually just content from invincible #1), most people still consider NC FS #3 as his first appearance...

i'm not so sure though hm

here are some pics a buddy(super-jerel!) sent me:

  4. is it necessary to read L+K 1-6 BEFORE reading L+K headgames?

I have picked up all three headgames books (admittedly because of the awesome covers and the hype), and was curious if i'll be lost if i begin here...

i tried L+K 1 and two from the original run, but didn't like it much....want to give this book a real shot.
