  1. Just a little over a week away. It looks like there will be more comic dealers here than last year, so that should make everyone happy.
  2. While CGC is not going to be there, there was at least one dealer last year that was witnessing and submitting. I would assume this year is no different.
  3. Like most Fan Expos, it's not heavy into comics; it's pops and toys and t-shirts and that sort of thing. That being said, I'll be there set up and I know of at least a half dozen other comic dealers that will be there. Last year, there was a decent range of modern to gold.
  4. Terrors of the Jungle #10 CGC 1.8 Well, here's another one I'm a little grumpy about. Came back a 1.8 mostly because the cover is detached. The cover was not detached when I sent it in, but what are you going to do? $125
  5. Darn! I missed so many that I need! These are great books.
  6. Up for grabs is a Venus #11 -- 4.5 -- just back from CGC. It came back C-1 -- small amount of glue on spine and tear seal to cover -- neither of which I (or the guy who pressed it) saw before. But such is life. This has a fantastic cover, featuring a post-apocalyptic world where only Venus can save the day! Price includes shipping within the US. International shipping is exact cost minus $15. Returns are accepted. Payment through PayPal G&S or, if you're in the Philly area, I'll meet up. $600
  7. It's time to get rid of a lot of stock that I've had for more than 6 months, so I'll have 50% off everything for this show. And, no, I'm not going to reprice things. Just my regular, amazingly low-priced comics at half their regular prices. $2 books will be $1, $5 will be $2.50 (I'm bringing quarters), and individually priced (including the wall) will all be half sticker. You can shop other dealers, too, but why bother? No early birds! Admission is $4 and parking is free. Door prizes are back, so you can win $25 con cash every hour! Clarion hotel 76 Industrial Highway Essington, PA 19029 IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, POST THEM HERE AND HOPEFULLY I CAN ANSWER (or I'll ask Derek). https://philadelphiacomic-con.com/
  8. Did you know that there are comic fans in the Delaware Valley who have never attended this show? It's crazy, right? If anything, you'll want to come and see just where my tables are, as I've been moved around each time for the past 5 shows! It's like musical tables! Comics from the Golden Age through the previous week! Mask rules within the county are always in flux, so I'd bring one just in case. No early birds! Admission is $4 and parking is free. 9. I set up at Fan Expo Philly, and while that had very few comic dealers, it had significantly more than just 2. (I think there were maybe 8 comic dealers.) I can empathize with both comic sellers and Fan Expo. Dealers were burned by Wizard the last few years -- expensive to set up, no real comic guests, poor promotion -- and Fan Expo hasn't been able to bring those dealers back to the fold.
  10. It was first published as a hardcover, then reprinted as a softcover (which appears here). It's a pretty good story, if I remember correctly from when I read it 30 years ago. I'd love to see what the poster is, but I'm a weenie, I can't allow myself to open it up.
  11. Much nicer than the #13, though there is some wear over the Spider-man head in the upper left-hand corner. Centerfold detached at top staple. $575
  12. Tape on the spine -- although I'm not sure it's even necessary. Centerfold tight. All pages there. $450
  13. Entry-level copies of these two first appearances. But these and then down the road sell them and upgrade! Before you know it, you'll have 9.2s in your collection and be the envy of every kid on the block! (Note: no guarantee this ever happens.) Books are complete. No large pieces out and no coupons cut. Shipping is free within the US. I gladly ship internationally (at exact cost). Returns accepted within 30 days. PayPal G/S or cash (if you're in the Philly area and want to meet up).
  14. Picked this up this weekend -- something I've never seen before. Shrink-wrapped pack of Power of Shazam TP + poster + DC Universe copy of issue #1.
  15. You can park anywhere in the lot. I'm not aware of anyone ever getting towed, thankfully. I'll ask the front desk next time. (I think they just want to be sure that people aren't parking in their lot and then taking the shuttle to the airport and not have to pay. If you're there for a couple hours, you should be good.)
  16. The cold weather has hit the Delaware Valley (as it has so many other places), and I suspect it will still be cold when this show happens. With rising cost of firewood, you can always buy comics to use as a heat source! Or, better yet, buy them to read and enjoy. This time out, I'll be bringing my regular stock -- and I just purchased a huge Spider-Man collection from #5 to #700, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of those left for you to buy. Mask rules within the county are always in flux, and everyone is getting sick lately, so I'd bring one just in case. No early birds! Admission is $4 and parking is free. Door prizes are back, so you can win $25 con cash every hour! 17. Your lack of response to these incredibly rare comics is disappointing, and you've made my children cry.
