  1. Now that's an interesting oddity. I really like it!
  2. Hard to beat that FF 210. Crazy high grade and signed by Frazetta to boot. Nice!
  3. OK Now that is impressive. Amazing run!
  4. Looks like Nathan Fillion is going to play Wonder Man in GoTG2.
  5. I love some of the old Dell war book covers. Here's one from War Stories 5: Lone Ranger 16 (also Dell): I think the Fawcett Comix Cards are pretty neat as well:
  6. BTW - It is still tied with 2 other books for highest CGC graded at 9.2. No telling if there are any nicer raw copies out there, but your is still top of the census.
  7. Personally, I like the "checking copy" stamps and think it adds something to the uniqueness of the book. I would probably pay a very small premium for file copies with the stamp, but I imagine I'm in the minority. I think it's a matter of preference, and the stamp probably does turn off some folks. Still, it's a great looking book and the stamp really shouldn't impact the overall value by much, if any.
  8. Not as high as the $17,000 shelled out for the last 9.0 (Pedigree Comics), but that's still an impressive hammer price. Looks like the book is still red hot.
  9. I like the character, and have had success with grabbing a few of the UK Marvel magazine size first appearance Captain Britain 1 comics from 1976. They tend to clean up well and will get a blue label as long as the mask is included (it can be loose). Not sure how they can make an interesting enough TV series that will capture attention of the US market, but if they use him with some other interesting characters, it might be fun to watch.
  10. Well, after almost 5 long years, I finally have an OAAW 83 back in my longbox! Here's my original (for nostalgic reasons) And, though I can't possibly afford a high grade replacement, it's great having a copy back! This one is 3.0 / 3.5ish, but is pretty enough for me.
  11. Picked up a grail of mine from Michael. It was better than advertised, packaged well, and shipped extremely quickly. I'm really happy with the purchase and wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again. Thanks Michael!
  12. Love it! What a nice upgrade!. Getting rid of your undercopy ?
  13. Thanks! I appreciate the comment. I don't have it in hand yet, but thought it displayed well for the grade. I've wanted a copy for so long now, so can't wait to flip through it.
  14. Funny, I found a quote I made from back in 2007 right before I sold my OAAW 83. Always regretted it since, so am excited to pick up a copy tonight (albeit a much lower grade). I've been saving a spot in my SA box just for this occasion. I'm pumped!
  15. Amen. I'm right there with you. I can't stand rusty staples! Of course, I can take it one step farther with my pitiful story in storing my Dad's original owner Incredible Hulk 1 and OOAW 83 in a fire-proof safe...one that had retardant that rusted the staples while in CGC plastic. They were my favorite books at the time, but I couldn't keep them knowing they had rust, so to auction they went I think we have similar collecting tastes with Sci-Fi. I'm trying my best to put together a nice run of Space Adventures 1-12, so seeing #12 listed on the boards had my blood pumping for a minute. Until I saw the rusty staples, that is .
  16. Roger recently bought a book from me and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He paid quickly and had great communication. Everything went smoothly. I'd highly recommend!
  17. Wow. Now that's a great way to start! Nice book.
  18. Picked up this Harvey File Copy for $11 on ebay last week. I enjoy Lee Elias art and thought this cover was a good one: Also had a good offer for the one and only Comfo-Gard. Try it for 60 days and return for a full refund if not satisfied
