  1. International transactions are charged at the 3.9% for USA sellers receiving money from international customers. We are charged 2.9% for US transactions only
  2. Dang, 25 new posts! I thought at least there would be arguments about whether or not when you throw CAK against the wall, it sticks
  3. Ive never been CAKed Someone told me to take a look across the street where CAK had a couple 500 word posts "justifying" his failure to follow through on his Buy it Now purchase of this 500-MYLAR-2-mil-Mylites2-standard-Bronze-Silver-bags-Case-FREE-PRIORITY In those posts, he claimed that the Free shipping was actually for UPS Ground and then later snail mail, with an option for Priority. My individual 500 M2 comic bag listings have always shipped USPS Priority Mail. In fact, I have never even offered any other shipping method for 500 comic sized M2s as it is not cost effective for me. Of course, all of the shipping information was provided to him in the listing, prior to his commitment to purchase. As an aside, I have never used Standard, Parcel Post or Media mail for any comic supply shipment and I only recently started listing UPS Ground on a few items.
  4. I would not expect the first person you get when inquiring about booth purchases is privy to these kind of deals. Likely Reed general answer "Sure, a booth selling honey and incense sounds great! I think you will do gangbusters! Can I get your credit card info to reserve your space?" No, that's why the first person transferred me to the person dealing with CSR for C2E2. Well, we can't be sure until you call back and ask about the honey

  6. +1 USPS holidays generally match up with most businesses in the US, so you can google those two terms and get the best list
  7. This wannabe dealer did the same thing to me on a Captain Marvel #17 2nd Print that I sold on this forum a few months ago. Through PM he asked if I would take $225.00 and to let him know if that is acceptable and he would pay right away. I responded back that I would accept the deal and asked for his PayPal info, he read the PM and then just walked away. I didn't make a big deal about it as I didn't like him from his posts and reputation on this forum and it sold to another client. It looks like this is habitual with this dork. These types don't last long in the business. He hit a $115 Buy it Now of mine for Mylars on ebay Never paid Never responded there or via PM here (although it was read) At least I can say that none of my Mylars were harmed during his "sheathing" process
  8. I would argue that the lack of choice means little to the large volume submitters as they have the knowledge to easily adjust. It is the average con attendee that makes a difference in this equation. Zero exposure of your fledgling competitor in a well respected national venue can keep some attendees in the dark about available competition. It also serves to minimize their standing among those already knowledgeable of their existence.
  9. Booth space No presence whatsoever at the con This is pretty damaging to a smaller company wanting to present an image that they can run with the big dogs in big national shows.
  10. I imagine this has already been floated with Megacon and Tampa Bay comicon Wonder what the reception was? Loser could easily set up in a hotel across the street from the convention center
  11. I think it'd be a trap for CBCS to try and play this game given their current position. They'd have to start doing on site. They aren't equipped and stretching to do something they can't handle is a bad move. CBCS can still play. The game need not be "official onsite comic grading service at shows" it can simply be " the official comic grading service " and disallow booths by other comic grading services.
  12. I saw the original thread It progressed just like the second thread with a reasonable request for information from the OP and non-political answers from a couple posters. Then about 10 posts in there were blatant political posts, reminiscent of the locked thread points challenge. Followed by more, non-political, informative posts. I expected the offending posts to be scrubbed rather than the entire thread.
  13. I have a line on several thousand 1 mil Mylites, but there does not appear to be much of a demand for them. They cost about 2/3 the cost of the M2s. I figured the majority of collectors would use them for uniformity in their collection in runs that otherwise did not require the expense of M2s. A minority would use them for double bagging higher $ books in a 4 mil Archive
