  1. A few barbed wire shots to the babymaker would certainly be a reason to keep Mr. Lincoln up at night.
  2. Luke Cage to debut on Netflix September 30th http://www.newsarama.com/28357-netflix-s-luke-cage-debut-date-revealed.html
  3. I don't know if it was an EMP attack that caused it, but I think the tv show "Revolution" was based sometime after a worldwide blackout of sorts that caused all electricity to stop working... something like that. I made it through 2 episodes, but I think it lasted a couple of seasons.
  4. Did I miss why they decided to drive the truck back and leave the car for later? I would have thought it'd make more sense to just follow each other back home.

  6. I sold a few of my bigger comics and wanted to buy some this time at a better price unlike the other times. I thought you were going to stop the buying/trading while you got your together?
  7. It is a shame what a missed opportunity this turned out to be. And you can tell from the discussions in the Deadpool thread it is still surprising the same studio that hit a home run with that movie bunted with Fantastic Four. These videos really seem to get to the heart of the matter what potentially took place, and why it blew up on Fox. I don't remember exactly which video (maybe part 3), but they were discussing passion. I wonder if anyone involved in this FF movie had any passion towards it at all. Maybe Trank did before he had a mental breakdown and maybe Mara did (since she had, supposedly, been trying to be in a superhero movie for so long) until Trank beat her to death with his mental breakdown, but it's really hard to tell someone's motivations. What is easy to tell is how defeated the actors were when they were interviewed just before this movie came out. You can see them, sitting there, just wishing they were somewhere else. I haven't seen Deadpool, but from what I read and what I see in the interviews and the promotions, not a single person seems to be lacking passion. The FF, imo, really needs to go back to Marvel, and to be fully explored as it should, it should really be a Netflix series.... but it would need a Really Big Budget.
  8. Great videos. Insightful enough to make my stomach hurt all over again. Thanks for posting.
  9. Dead I think that's the nicest thing you've said to me so far...thank you I'll print this out and take the suggestions to my case worker and I already have a psychologist in training helping me as a start. I swear with the amount of work I'll need it'll be years but it will be worth it. It's easy to pile-on, and for that I apologize. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask the hard questions about yourself. Answers don't come without questions.
  10. My suggestions would be to take advantage of the time that you have (while receiving financial assistance from the government) and get yourself into a better place mentally. Your psychological and emotional well-being are going to be very important for you to have any chance of going forward in life. Look into programs (and by look into I mean ASK FOR HELP) that are beneficial to people like yourself. From reading this thread, you could benefit from some counseling (to help with self-awareness and coming to terms with many of the things that have implanted themselves in your head when it comes to your self-worth), some anger management (to help deal with stressful/uncomfortable situations), and maybe a psychologist to help you to learn how the depression that you are obviously suffering from is a brick wall in front of all the things you hope to accomplish. Personal hygiene (shower and grooming) should also never be overlooked... and not simply for the benefit of others. It's one of the easiest ways to make yourself feel better, even if it's just for a moment, and you can do this on a daily basis. Sometimes, all it takes is a momentary good feeling to really kickstart your day. Also, if your not exercising and at least trying to eat healthy, you really should. An extra few steps or a stretch you're not used to, can be extremely beneficial to your physical and emotional well-being. Baby steps, Gabe. This is not going to happen overnight.
  11. Hey Oak, may I borrow this trash can for a second? Toss the hoodie and track pants in here until you get a job. Dress for success... and right now a job, any job, would be success.
  12. Here's a story for you. It didn't happen on the Boards but at the local convention a few years ago, first really huge show, I was working for a seller with a lot of $2 bins, fresh stuff, clean books, and people were really buying. One guy comes up to me with his two kids, young ones, obviously new to comics and cons, and asks me if we had copies of such and such books, I think it was the Indiana Jones movie adaptations, we did, in the $2 Bins, in great condition, if that mattered. He wanted to get them and share them with his kids, who looked excited, and I was excited to be able to make it happen, for the huge sum of $2 a book. He takes a look at them, and asks me if he can have them for $1 each. I didn't really know what to say, except, "well, its not my stuff, so I'll have to ask". The seller said no, and I think justifiably in the circumstances. It was the first day of a monster show with lots of people making huge piles out of these bins. The seller was not going to suddenly announce to one customer that books could be had for $1 each. So the customer hands them back to me and says he'll have to pass, and leaves with his two very sad and confused looking kids, so he could save like $3. And I had the same feeling afterwards, "maybe I should have just paid for the difference for the kids...". Someone said to me "no you shouldn't have, you can't save the guy from being a jerk". Had a guy dig out a big stack from our dollar books...he said i'll take these. I count them out...that will be $13...he is like oh I thought they were a $1...yes and you have 13...oh no I thought it was just $1 How... What... Huh... Gotta sit down and resist the urge to let the aneurysm in my brain explode. How on earth did this person figure out how to operate a motor vehicle and arrive at the location where you were selling these books??? What's even worse is if he thought it was $1 for as many as he wanted, why didn't he just pick up the whole box? On a non-comic but similar mentality note, I drove by my neighbor's house (from a few houses down) one morning a few years ago and they had a huge table set up by the road with a ton of kids stuff (books, toys, etc.) on it with a sign taped to the table that read "FREE. HELP YOURSELF". I came home that evening and all the stuff was on the ground and the table was gone. Some people need extremely specific instruction.
  13. The space looks amazing. Thanks for these updates. The whole process is really cool to follow.
  14. The first one was a decent movie (with exception to some pretty big blunders) which would have been much better, imo, with a different title. It was so far removed from the book it really is unrecognizable when compared. I hope the sequel is able to, somehow, pull it more toward the book, but I doubt it. I'll watch it anyway. Wth, I someone ever decides to make a television series really based off the book, I think it could easily rival TWD.
  15. I read this article just now. pretty cool for fans of horror. Freddy's glove makes an appearance in Ash vs. Evil Dead Also, here's a link that explains a little history of the back and forth between Sam Raimi and, the late, Wes Craven. http://evildead.wikia.com/wiki/Freddy_Krueger On a related note, if you haven't read "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash", do so. Both the original mini-series and the follow-up "Nightmare Warriors" were both well done.
  16. The mask looks a little uncomfortable. It sits really high off his head. I liken it to the way some guys look good with a shaved head and others just do not. Cap = good DD = not so much The first thing that caught my attention in the pic of DD and Punisher were DD's shoes. Sneakers??
  17. Looking forward to hearing more as you progress. Thanks for sharing.
  18. +1 I would love to hear about it as well, if it's possible.
