Not exactly a "noobie" been around the block for some time. Used to be a member a while back with older account. I asked because when I searched for PGX after typing it into the search field results came up 0. results: There are no results for your query. Please try a broader range of search criteria. Actually I'm quite calm. I will take your advise and I'm concidering re-submission but as I stated earlier, I would rather not due to the chances of the book becoming damaged in the process through multiple trips through the US postal service. What I would like to do is bring it to a show and have them look at it there so it can avoid the postal process. Do they encapsulate at the shows? or do they grade it there and take it back to Sarasota,Fl? Colugo

I'm just curious about CGC's grading and the inconsistencies I have seen here and there, especially the obvious ones, like a few of the links I have posted demonstrating high grades with obvious signs of wear, did they really deserve that grade and if they did, what about the one I submitted that shows less wear? Should it grade higher? Grading of comics is very subjective but when it's this obvious it makes one wonder on grading accuracies, and, well maybe mine wasn't graded accurately. What's wrong with that? I'm sure most people who get their comics are sometimes puzzled from the grades their books recieved, just because collectors don't work for CGC doesn't make them bad graders. Hi colugo! I’m not sure why you say there were no notes taken on this book (weather that’s your error or ours), but we do have notes on it. The 2 things the pre-grader specified were that there are some indents on the front cover by the Black Panther’s head, and there are a couple of lite spine stresses on the back cover. I hope that helps you out! My apologies on that, yes there were notes from that batch which I got confused from the the last batch, were there wasn't notes taken. My fault and sorry about the mix up. Anyway the marks by the Panthers head were produced mechanically during the production of the comic, I have several other books that show the same track marks on the very minor markings. I'll see about trying to get some examples so you can see for your comparison. Colugo I also wanted to state on this board since I'm a member of the community, that you really can't blame me for being upset, and confused, as I see books come out of CGC with similiar grades and some of those books are obviously in poorer condition. Most people are gonna feel that way to. I just don't get the inconsistencies of CGC on some of the grading. How does the Avengers 78 get a 9.6 that's currently posted on Comiclink get that grade? I have many .jpg examples showing 9.8's with obvious wear to the cover and that always brings me to ask how did those ones get that grade? I've been told by CGC that "We don't know what the people do with books after they have been graded?" I just don't see people playing frisbee with their highly graded encapsulated CGC'd comics I would say the majority of these older much more expensive books are being stored in optimal conditions with very little disturbance. Back cover has no tics, crease, or bends. This book is as new as the day it was put on the rack.

No, I have scans of it outside of the slab that show sharp corners. As I said previously it has all sharp corners and also the inside is untouched. This book has never been read as I have several of them. I can also see a sharp corner in the CGC case right at this moment. I went ahead and made the scan for the corner so you don't have to go through too much trouble to view it.

I am puzzled at the results from the grading of this really nice clean flat glossy sharp corners and edges white paged comic with no tics. Although a 9.6 is a nice grade to get, this book is practically a 9.9 the condition of the book is gorgeous and I believe all of you would agree if you were to hold this one in your hands. I have books that have never been handled since the day they were purchased off the racks. I'm at the point of not wanting to submit anymore, the same reason I quit a long time ago. I don't want to re-submit as the books can possibly get damaged the more I send them through the mail sytstem. I was watching how U.S. mail gets processed and they were showing the backroom tour, my jaw dropped to the ground and made me wonder had I packed that any less than I did, it surely wouldv'e been damaged. The other thing is that there were no notes taken, for the higher tier pricing I pay to have the books graded I would expect that. Oh and another thing when I handed the post office worker my box containing the comics, after processing it she threw it in the mail-bin. I asked her if she could be little bit more careful with it and she then asked me why, what's in it? WTF?() I was thinking to myself. Oh well? What do you people think? The back is just as nice as the front.
