  1. I know it might not have come back a 9.8 but that is one sweet book.
  2. I remember the old wizard magazines would show cgc sales toward the back and remember someone bought aliens#1 cgc 9.8 for I think like $30 bucks.
  3. I would take the white pages in a second over the off white with the label.
  4. the last mag I got back has small bits of plastic floating around the bottom of the case. I hope cgc takes care of these problems in the future.
  5. the one thing I hate about the paper is when it falls out and you can see it. sometimes you can tap the slab and get it back but I have some magazine size slabs that even when I tap it won't move.
  6. yes he would have some books that he knew would at least get a 9.8 and if they came back higher he would give you the option to still buy it. if I remember correctly he ended up charging me $140 for the 10.0
  7. usps can be very lax I bought a $750 cgc from a friend on this board and the tracking said it arrived at my post office and was out for delivery and that was it never found out what happened to it. I used to think I might see it at the local comic shop but I never did. when I was a teenager my parents were out of town and like a dumb I had a huge party and a couple of days later I found out someone stole my avengers#1 , amazing spidey#3 and amazing spidey annual#1 and to make things worse they stole 10k of my moms jewelry. man I never heard the end of that lol. I hope the board member gets his comics back there are so many bad people in this world who will screw you over in a minute to make a dollar.
  8. I own a number of 10.0s my oldest is ghosts#112 but my favorite 10.0 is daredevil#236 the 25th ann issue. I bought the daredevil from a guy named Reynold jay some of you may know him from the early 2000s who sold a lot on eBay. he used to say he keeps his comics in a refrigerator or freezer and that is how he got so many 9.9s and 10s.I was hoping just for a 9.8 but it came back a 10.0 so he just upped the price and I got it. I have never had any that I submitted come back 9.9 or 10 but I sure have bought a boatload of them.years ago I bought marvel collectible classic #2 cgc 10.0 for around $175 still have it but should probably sell it seeing it goes for a good chunk of change now.
  9. creepy#4 is also listed as a classic cover on my slab and is by far imho the best creepy cover.
  10. back in 2002 I sent in an amazing spider-man#42 and it came back cgc 8.0. I noticed it had some wrinkles on the back cover so about 8 years later I cracked it out had it pressed and sent to cgc. the press did bump it up to 8.5 but the bad part was this time it got a purple label saying slight color touch. I guess nobody is perfect and even cgc misses color touch sometimes but I wish I hadn't cracked it out.
  11. im sure it is worth it just an awesome book
  12. oh my god that is so badass what a great book congrats. if you don't mind me asking how much does sly charge for his sig?
  13. damn Triston that is very nice will that be in next years halloween auctions?
  14. Man that it sketch cover is just sick. congrats on a super nice book. wow
  15. I still want to get #171 cgc 9.8 because that is one of my favorite daredevil covers but it still commands a pretty penny in that grade.
