  1. My best piece (link below) came in 8th place! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1590932
  2. Imagine if this was a recreation of Amazing Fantasy #15 by Steve Ditko, done with a shaky hand, how much would that be worth? Sure, the art wouldn't be that great, but I think it would go for at least $50k. Assuming the Shuster art is real, shaky hand or not, it's got to be worth a lot! Question is... is it 100% unquestionably authentic?
  3. I'm kind of shocked that Budd Root is the #4 search in the last 30 days. Perhaps I sold my load a bit too early! lol!
  4. Yes but counting for inflation & lost opportunity costs you're into them for about $1,000,000!
  5. I have this for sale on the boards for only $22. Imagine how much it would be worth if it were a comic & not a pulp!
  6. Not from Infinity Gauntlet, but I'm darn happy to have this Silver Surfer Galactus page!
  7. Galaxy $22.00 (paypal or check) NOW ONLY $15 Shipping $3.00 5 day return option. Killer Atomic explosion cover. Nice interior full page illustrations (1 is of a nude woman). VG condition, nice copy with average wear.
  8. Do you really think Ford employees hate Honda employees? There's a lot of hate and unfairness that I feel is really misplaced here. Like they think... how DARE there be competition!
  9. I'm glad the book is back on track after more than a decade of being idle. Hopefully the parts of the pedigree book I wrote, along with all the data I collected and interviews I conducted will be credited to me. West
  10. When the Gerber Guide came out I saw the Catman #28 in there, it was cool but the colors seem dull & muted. When I saw a copy first hand and saw how TRULY awesome the cover colors were I was hooked! I also chased the MH copy for about 20 years! In college I spent about 22-26 hours recreating the cover with india ink. I guess those 3 things make it memorable to me.
  11. Best in sentimental value: Catman #28 Best in $ value: MMC #46 Best in grade: Zip #20
  12. I see a few things I want... need to raise a million doll hairs to win it all!
  13. Comics are taxed at a 28% rate. Collectibles are considered alternative investments by the IRS and include things like art, stamps & coins, cards & comics, rare items, antiques, and so on. If collectibles are sold at a gain, you will be subject to a long-term capital gains tax rate of 28%, if disposed of after more than one year of ownership.Dec 6, 2019
  14. This book has the WHITEST pages I've ever seen on a 1940's book... and I've seen quite a few!
  15. What's your price limit on the Thor?
  16. I was looking at a CAF room this morning that had lots of great art right up my alley. I noticed even higher end pieces had very few comments left, so I left about 5-6. I then noticed that the last piece he uploaded was way back in 2008. Makes me wonder what happened to the guy in the last 12 years!?!
  17. Thanks! Young Allies #1 is notorious for having production inking issues in the red logo area. The Kansas City Copy is pretty much perfect, all deep red ink, no orange or yellowing!
  18. Once apon a time mine was the Highest Graded Copy, then several got upgraded. I left mine as is.
  19. Continue my Spider-Man collection, maybe get a few nostalgic pieces too!
