    A CGC Graders Experiences
I am creating this journal to talk a little bit about my experience as a CGC Grader.
I can remember the 1st time I saw Silver Age keys back when I was 14 years old. The 1st time I saw an AF #15 it was at my LCS. I was in awe! It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Sure, the copy was actually a 1.5, but to me it was perfection.
Through the years going to all the shows, especially San Diego, after having been around a while, I got use to seeing those types of books sitting on dealers walls all the time. It gets to the point where you just walk by them because it is nothing special to see anymore.
So after working at CGC for over 7 years, even seeing key issues becomes routine. For a good 4 years at CGC, I was the only pregrader to grade every single Standard, Express, Walk Through and Collector Society submission that came in to CGC, as well as every Golden Age Economy and Value Tier submission. It seemed like every other submission contained AF #15, ASM #1, #14, #50, #122 #129, IH #181, GS X-men #1...etc. Even grading and seeing Golden Age Keys were no big deal anymore. I believe Action Comics #1 was still the only book that still got me exciting, after all, it is still THE GRAIL of all grails!
I guess I miss that excitement I had as a kid, seeing all those books for the 1st time, dreaming of the day I could own and enjoy all those treasured books.
Thanks for reading my CGC journal entry! More to come...
