  1. I don't know. But look at the ASM #100 cover commission from 1994 Romita did. It sold in HA for $77,675 (link below). Who's to say what an unused cover or a commission cover redue will go for compared to one another. https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/john-romita-sr-the-amazing-spider-man-100-cover-re-creation-original-art-1994-/a/7036-92223.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 Also, if you look on HA at the Batman #210 unused cover, it went for $3734 in 2014. That's about what I'd expect a vintage commissioned cover redue to sell for. The used cover (different artist) went for $30,070, also what I'd expect in comparison.

  3. I don’t think you understand my meaning. To me there is no nostalgia sentiments to an unpublished cover, especially if the image is drastically different than the published version. If back in 1962 Ditko did yet another version of Amazing Fantasy #15 and gave it to a fan and it was discovered today, what would that sell for? DRASTICALLY lower! Why? No one other than that fan who got it back in 1962 has any nostalgic feelings towards it. The art would sell on its own merit as a piece of art.
  4. There were several “superhero” types before Superman. Maybe better to say Superman was the first successful superhero. He was definitely the one who got the ball rolling! Most of the other ones didn’t even merit cover status for their first appearances.
  5. What is everyone’s thought on the apparent marker fade that is on the page? Especially on the 1st panel?
  6. Vintage Disney World Mickey Mouse Collectible Fork & Spoon. Spoon says Made in Holland, fork Made in Japan. Spoon measures 4.5" & fork is 5.5". $22.00 with postage paid in ConUs. Paypal prefered. No returns, what you see is what you get!
  7. I bought the Action Comics #34 Mile High from Gary Carter back in 1991. The colors were super sharp and perfect!
  8. Many good points being brought up by many people. As to what Mary Jane would have looked like or acted like, I think this page gave us a "sneak peek" as to what Ditko was aiming for. That's MJ in the second to the last panel!
  9. To me, buying an unpublished cover is akin to buying a vintage commission piece. It rests on it's own merit as a piece of art and nothing more.
  10. A few of my listings were featured in the video, that that was cool!
  11. Here is all the info about the comic. https://www.comics.org/issue/225822/#399375
  12. Closing down thread, thanks for looking!
  13. But it’s not available... at least as far as I know!
  14. I think it will outperform the Baker cover too but would be surprised if it got over 100k. For that kind money you could get a killer EC horror/sci-if cover by a better artist than Elias such as Williamson. Also if you read the description, the top 40% of the cover is a modern day replacement “affixed” to the board... whatever that means!
  15. But to my knowledge the Seven Seas Cover is the “best” piece of Matt Baker art out there. Not his best, but the best available!
  16. I'm going to predict I won't sell as high as many believe. Matt Baker has been just as hot the past years and the Seven Seas cover did not do well by the consensus! https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/matt-baker-seven-seas-comics-5-cover-original-art-universal-phoenix-features-1947-/a/7204-91004.s?ic10=FeaturedPastSalePrices-Thumbnail-052317
  17. For me it would be this ASM cover by two legends, John Romita Sr. & Joe Sinnott. There are not too many vintage covers with the Green Goblin & this one knocks it out of the park for me. The dynamic flow & action on this piece is amazing! Even though this is a Marvel #1, think about how much this cover would be worth if it was apart of the main title run & not a one-off promo comic. Makes me love it even more knowing I didn't have to sell a house to get it! A true value!
