  1. I have sold ample items over the years and have ample references. In the last 3 years I spent well over 30K on this board and sold over 20K and every sale was on the WTB board. In other words I did the exact opposite of what you suggested. BOTTOM LINE: The rules need to be followed just like they are in the selling forum. If you disagree petition to have them changed. Once again the reason why very few members read the WTB forum is because it has a reputation of low ballers and tire kickers. This is why the rules must be enforced. Once this happens the traffic in the WTB forum will increase which will result in collectors having a better chance to find the items they are looking for.
  2. How much are you paying? Please follow rule #5 below: State a specific price range that you WILL buy for (depending on condition / grade). You may also state that you are open to offers outside of the range (similar to an "or best offer" statement from a seller). You may also site a SPECIFIC price guide source and a % variation from there that you are willing to pay.

  8. +1. Like DST stated you need to post the price you are willing to pay. I don't know why this is so hard for people to understand. The rules need to be followed just like they are in the sellers forum. Again by not listing a price you are keeping the WTB board a fringe board that is ignored by most of the members. Members who have been here ample years have learned this section is full of low ballers and tire kickers. The only way we can get more traffic here is for people to start following the rules.
  9. These are not my concerns they are the rules of the board. Don't make me out to be the bad guy because you don't follow the rules. Nice bizarro world thinking.
  10. Yes I do but even if I don't you need to follow the rules. It hurts our community when people don't. The rules are there for a reason. The reason why the WTB forum has very little traffic is because people don't follow the rules which is why the WTB forum is known for tire kickers and low ballers. I have posted ample WTB threads over the years and on every occasion besides the first time I posted here I listed the price I was willing to pay.

  12. Great job. This is exactly how a WTB post should be. I don't have a copy but I will definitely reach out to my buddies to see if they can help.
  13. Over the years I have wasted ample hours searching for books requested on the WTB forum only to receive asinine low ball offers. I'm usually offered 20-25% of value. I learned the hard way and therefore before I do anything I need to know what the buyer is willing to pay. I agree with you - the rules need to be enforced. By not being enforced the result has been most members who read this site rarely read the WTB forum because they know it's a big waste of time. IMO this hurts the community who read and post here. If say only 25% of the members read the WTB forum it makes it a lot harder to find the comics a collector is looking for. If the WTB forum was a forum that operated like the sellers forum (enforcing the rules) there would be a lot more traffic and collectors would have a better chance to find the comics they are looking for.
  14. With all do respect you need to follow the rules. Please see rule #5 below. State a specific price range that you WILL buy for (depending on condition / grade).
