  1. Ditto on the approx. valuation, depending on which venue though and timing I'd say though $600-$1200. I've seen some nice covers on ComicLink the last few OA auctions go for that range that I expected to go on the high end actually go for lower in the cover-tier price range. If it was more of a full-body Carnage shot it'd hit $1k easily, but since it's mainly a torso it'd have more variable in the pricing. If it was one of the Del Mundo covers it'd also hit the $1k price easily since those were a draw. Perkins is a solid artist and has longevity in the field, but not really a big name recognition as others. Still a nice cover that should sell nicely.
  2. Green Lantern GN a New Dawn NM $ 5.00 Green Lantern Baptism of Fire GN VF+ $ 6.00 Green Lantern Emerald Knights GN NM $9.00 @25% off per PM
  3. Agree, don't know why artists continue to stay with AC when they're leaving money on the table with all the collector's passing on buying stuff from the site since it's so broke down. That site is like a digital version of those "Back in 10 mins" signs where the retailer never comes back.
  4. Any update on any additional guests besides Chaykin that will be attending?
  5. Glad I didn't bid. All the reserves not met make this more and more not a true auction. The reserves must have been 10x market value, what a joke for a first go at this for pedigree and I'll no longer even look at any of their future auctions because of it.
  6. I to this page. Don't think I could ever drop currency on a page like this could probably purchase a quality small vehicle, but glad a collector got this.
  7. 10x Mark Up? Insane. Do these guy really sell high-end pieces non-stop in order for them to keep acquiring art? I mean, if you'er a high-end collector you'd surely know how unscrupulous these guys are and not buy from them. So is it just newbies with deep pockets that continue to fund these guys' OA stash?
  8. Well, if you're looking for the cheapest way to read the old Mirage stories, check them out at your local library for FREE. I know my branch carries the IDW collection of the Mirage series, in the HC version to boot!
  9. book receive promptly and nicely thank you very much! :-)
  10. Does anyone know if there's a site or full listing somewhere out there that has all the names on this cover in text format for the AMS #700 Skyline cover? Need to put it on alpha order and cross out the names as I get them and being able to print it out makes it a lot easier to remember who exactly is on this instead of trying to search each time I meet a creator to see if they're listed.
  11. Hot Dog! That's awesome, you got Psylocke, Deadpool, Fantomex all Venom-ified! Heck, I'm having trouble even finding the comic this is on and you got the OA!
  12. Nice! How much were those concept drawings selling for?
  13. Counterfeit Dawns? What's the tip-off that they're not on the up-and-up?
  14. Tony Chuy by John Layman at WonderCon. Yes, yes it is!
  15. Nick Dragotta was at WonderCon this past weekend. If you bought and brought over a copy of East of West he'd do a quick sketch for you. We were able to grab a copy at a booth for $10 and then trekked to Artist Alley where he did a quick sketch. Dragotta wasn't selling any copies at his booth since he wanted the comic store retailers to be the ones the fans bought from to help encourage additional orders. Both the regular and phantom variant were being sold for $10, wish I bought more but didn't have time to go back and get some more. Dragotta's $100 commission list was seemingly full by EOD Friday and had to rush our sketches on Sat. Still cool guy.
  16. Stopped by my two LCS that still had NWM #1 couple weeks ago that I went to finally buy.....all sold out of course.
  17. Has anyone ever ordered directly from Mirage Licensing and gotten their order? I was thinking of FCBD TMNT Volume One #1 reprint w/ Fugitoid figure since it comes signed by Peter Laird but it looks like the site hasn't been updated in a while. http://www.miragelicensing.com/paypal/fugitoid.html
  18. Just saw Ale at a local show last month (didn't know they had artists showing up) or I would've gotten a sketch from him but I didn't have my sketchbook or blanks with me. At the shows I've seen him at his quick head sketch prices started around $40 or $100 for full figure I believe.
  19. I picked up the first issue of BK v2 #1 and it's nuts. Never read the first series and picked up this one since Chaykin was appearing at a local con and wanted it signed. Read it and still have no idea what was going on. Haven't seen the 1st vol. for cheap at local stores in a while, I guess I'll be on the lookout for it for the collection.
  20. Double-Dayummmmmm! How long did it take to complete the commission?
  21. Ghost Rider by Trent Kaniuga, done at Long Beach Comic Con 2012. He told me this was the first time he's sketched on a sketch cover.
  22. My LCS had all Phantom variants (even Deadpool #1 up to mid-last week) for $5, only the Bedlam #1 did I see it marked up for $10 a few weeks ago until the last copy finally sold. Haven't popped in this week to check out Bedlam #2 yet though.
  23. 2 months ago my LCS had a stack of 880s that I picked up 3 issues of since I wanted to get Jock to sign at SDCC next year, would've picked up more but the condition was FN-VF only. Ended up selling them though and pre-Death of the Family storyline I sold one for $9, and post-launch of DOTF, I sold the other 2 for between $14-$16.
  24. Does anyone know if Jeremy will be taking commission requests to his LA gallery opening or just signing the HC?
