  1. Yeah, it looks very cheap now, wish I had stumped up the difference at the time, that was probably my last chance to own a copy
  2. I really dreamed this would be my book back in the day when it was a 9.0, I had a high bid that made my missus almost have a heart attack..........it was no where near enough
  3. I do know what you mean, I have lots of books in long boxes waiting to be sorted into my cabinets ( I will never do this ) when looking for a certain book to scan for these threads, I was surprised at how seeing some books affected me, seeing them for the first time in years, I mean I knew I had them but knowing and seeing are two different things The only things I read these days are GA/AA books as I get them ( which isn't very often ) However lately I have a major urge to find and read my old Treasury Editions, I loved this format when I was a kid, @batmiesta just put up #4 Conan Treasury for sale, that is one of the best reads ever for me, I need to go digging
  4. I have had these since the 90s, I bought them in the UK, it was a large collection and there were about 6 boxes or so of these in it, believe me, I didnt want them but it was an all or nothing deal and there was enough of the good stuff to tip the balance
  5. Contains my favorite Conan story, Red Nails & presented in the best format, read this book to death when I was a kid
  6. What still surprises me about collecting is how I can be so driven to find a book that I need, search everywhere, compare prices, drive miles, pay a fortune and then after bagging, boarding and putting in a drawer, find I have almost no interest in ever seeing it again as long as the number is ticked on a sheet I am done, complete madness really.
  7. That maybe my fault, I used to use them as packing when I shipped parcels and have probably gave some away to almost everyone I ever met, I only have about 3k left
  8. Me too, it looks great, I really hope they have done a good job, I can see a lot of the moves are based on real footage, cant wait now Films based on Elvis have been done badly or iffy at best in the past this time.
  9. I have 21 of the 22 comics listed, only 4 are graded, most of the people I know who have silver age collections do not own many graded books, I don't think any of these are scarce, just expensive these days, I know you say its only a general idea but I dont think we can have any idea what raw books are out there.
  10. The only books I don't have of the ones talked about so far are Showcase 4 and Sugar and Spike, I should have/could have bought a SC4 back in the day before it went too crazy but didnt, its too late now I guess I have never even seen a Sugar and Spike in all my years of collecting, so I guess to me that's the scarcest, at least here in the UK
  11. Good to see you here bro, take your time, we are all still here when you are ready, be well my friend
  12. 0.5 for me but no way I would slab these, nice readably key books what you are not scared to damage, mylar all day, take out and read once in a while
  13. Yeah, this and I like Pence & Cents copies too
  14. Yeah, as soon as that new Captain Gallant TV series comes out, it'll be all gravy baby
