  1. How could this back cover not have a prideful place among a Warren collection??

  4. I’ve seen these for sale now and again over the years. There was a manufacturing problem and the arm holding the mace or whatever it is is frequently broken.
  5. The ability to sleep for one hour and have it be equivalent to a full night’s rest.
  6. Passing the staples after eating books sounds unpleasant. You would think the proprietors would prefer that the books be bought before being eaten as well.
  7. Looks like Fairborn, Ohio is in the path of totality on April 8th.
  8. Welcome to the boards and this wonderful thread! During my quick scroll through your gay-risque books, I thought the last one was called Andy Sex Will Do, at first glance!
  9. Why couldn't you just keep the lotion down there with you, didn't he have a spare? Did he think you could escape if you kept it?
  10. I’m a pre-Unity and gold issue Valiant buyer for $2 per all day long!
  11. If anything, Conan Saga is the red-headed stepchild, not Savage Sword.
  12. I would say not for those earlier issues, except maybe issue 9. The later newsies in lower grade, however, say beyond issue 60 and certainly the ones over issue 100 are sellable.
  13. Very enjoyable, looking forward to Beyond the Spider-verse!
  14. As someone who buys more modern newsies than most, i have no problem admitting that there are people who are trying to generate interest in what would otherwise be worthless books by simply focusing on the fact that they are newsstand editions. If it were solely grass roots collectors driving the modern newsie market because of rarity or collectibility of the books, there would have to be a corresponding burgeoning market for early direct editions from the 70s for the same reasons. And yet, no one talks about premiums for directs from that era. And I think the reason for that is that the hype-sters don’t have access to those direct editions at friendly price points like they do for moderns. The classic hype what you have to sell.
  15. I buy post-2000 newsies of issues I would never buy a direct copy of, so $1-2 more than $0. Is that an infinite newsie premium?!?
