As an inveterate cheapskate, everything seems high to me. But I would be leaving there empty handed! -

Comics, Pulps, and Paperbacks: Why such a discrepancy in values?

Went to the local flea this morning specifically to hunt paperbacks. Found a seller with an eclectic mix of classics. Got all these for a buck each! -
There was still some space in that panel for additional explanation. Heading for a Charles Crumb level of exposition if you recall his work from the Lynch movie Crumb.

Alan. He’s my LLCS, close enough that I usually walk. My LCS is the Comic Box in Massapequa where I have my Bad Idea pull and whatnot.

Did some dollar box diving at the LCS Saturday FCBD sale. I found some newsies, some Valiant last issues, and a Groo 119 that was pretty nice!

I have had this problem a lot over the years as a seller without a store. Some buyers can request an invoice for combined shipping and others are forced to pay the full amount and then I have to do a manual shipping overcharge refund for them. I don't think I have any control over it. I thought it might be because I wasn't set up as a store or because I didn't set up my shipping rules correctly, or because some people are forced to pay immediately (and I think there's an option for this as a seller, to require it, but I'm not sure what the default is absent specific instruction), but I don't really know what the issue is. -
I'm more comfortable saying that they are different editions, rather than variants. Directs are not variants of newsstands and newsstands are not variants of directs.

Recent finds out of the dollar boxes, mostly right in my newsies wheelhouse, post-2000 Marvels, along with a couple from the 90s including a glow in the dark Gene Colan cover.

Sorry to hear this, Bob. I’ve put the word out to a junk dealer reseller I know to be on the lookout for a deal too good to be true here on Long Island. Hopefully he will circulate the warning.

Comic book collecting with a foreign variant focus

Here are a few foreign editions that I've scooped up over the years here and there. French Canadian ASM 1969 Mexican Sgt. Fury 1969 Thor and Captain America Mundi Comics from the mid-70s 3 Phantom issues printed in Barcelona Spain in 1975 -
DCBS finally updated my copies of the secret Bad Idea book as shipped. Bad Idea has also released the details on how to redeem the stickers.

Haven't seen it and probably wont, but congrats to James Cameron for staying the course all these years after the first installment and having yet another mega-blockbuster on his resume! -
Yes, nothing will beat the stash that was there when I first found the place. Remarkably, he has managed to clear out every last comic from his shop multiple times since then.
