  1. Bought a bunch a raw books, great stuff, as advertised and I'm very happy. Thanks Chris!
  2. I am not in a position to take Jay off the list, I'm just saying, he sent the books and no hard feelings is all. -Mark
  3. I received my books Jay, thank you. I retract my complaint against you and recommend that you come off of the prob list. Take care! -Mark
  4. Just to meet a requirement mentioned in Jay's thread, I wanted Jay placed on the list. Multiple posts to get my Chatzilla status. Regards, Mark
  5. So I think what Gaz is saying here is that Doug to should be on the list since no good deed goes unpunished. I think since the help seems to be failing, Doug should bear the cross of his failure. ! You're a good person for helping Jay, I appreciate the effort Doug. I'm not really sure how it's going to work out in the end, but as you said, making the boards a better place. Bravo.
  6. No, there was no double standards going on. I even went into his old sales thread and made it clear for him he was going to force the forum to put him on the probation list. That's when Dhurley asked to help resolve the situation. Now put your hat back on and read your paper.
  7. No Problem Bio. It would be nice to at least see what we won't be getting anytime soon. I appreciate your generousity and I will pass it foward. If everyone were like you we wouldn't have the need for a probation list. Best Regards, Mark
  8. Many thanks to Bosco685 for posting that call to action. As has been said, it's over due. At this point after 5 months of waiting, 3 months of it after promise date, and being told many times that the books or refund were on their way, Jay needs to make things right or not show his face on the boards until he does. He may be experiencing hard times or he may not. Either way, communication is the key. Also making promises he doesn't intend to keep just makes things worst. Anyhow, hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend, best wishes to you and all of yours. +1
  9. I'm sorry to her about Jay's problems. I have just returned to work myself after a more than year and half off. Having said that, I emailed Jay two weeks ago and the only issue was, according to Jay, he had lost my address. I am not a monster nor someone who is totally impatient. If I was made aware of the situation we would not be here now. I just don't have time to scan all the messages on the board. I emailed Jay a few days ago after waiting two weeks from sending the message where he said he would ship the books once receiving my address. Being that we live in the same state, I felt that was ample time to get the books out to me. I just feel that it has been like this with my other transactions with Jay. I need to stay on top of the transactions or risk not getting my order. So lets say this is not the first time. Being a seller as well as a buyer I like to receive the same level of service I provide to those who purchase from me. Also, I want to support anyone who is trying to break into the comics field. Particularly those who are boardies. I do not however, want to suffer in the process. Communication is key to all transactions here. Given ample time, there are no excuses for not updating someone about a situation which affects the timely receipt of books when they have put money out of their pocket. Among business people, this should be common knowledge. Supporters of new businesses should always be treated with respect by those businesses or risk the loss of support. In closing, I hope Jay finds solutions to all his problems and prospers in his new endevor. Knowing what I know now, I'm willing to wait for the books. I am dropping my complaint against Jay. Good luck Jay. Send the books when you can.
  10. Hi All, I am having a problem with a seller and for the first time I haven't been able to resolve it directly. This is also the first time I'll be suggesting a fellow boardie get added to the probation list. I did a few transactions months ago with DeafMute Comics and none of them have gone smoothly. I thought I would support another Pennsylvanian in his publishing venture by placing a preorder for some of his future releases. My mistake. This last transaction was a preorder placed in July for books to be released in August. It's now October. Typical of my transactions with this seller, I have had to contact him to get my order shipped. In this case however, even my contacting him is not moving the order forward. It has been two weeks since the order was supposed to have been shipped (well, it was supposed to ship in August) and my books still aren't here. My last message has gone unanswered and frankly, I'm just sorry I made these purchases. I'm very busy and really have no time for a seller that lacks motivation or responsibility. It takes too much time to complete a transaction which inevitably adds to the cost of the books. Thanks for listening to my gripe with this seller. Perhaps a stint on the probation list will provide a lesson in how to transact properly.
