  1. Hi, No we wouldn't be able to do that either. Sorry about that!
  2. No, unfortunately label request do take some time to look into.
  3. Hi, Unfortunately, we can't press that do to the embossment on the cover.
  4. I've sent this to the graders as well
  5. I've passed the information on to the graders and will let you know if the ASM 800 gets updated.

    Book Error

Hi, I've asked the graders and Eddie Brock/Venom is one of several characters whose first/earliest appearance are debated about among fandom as how to classify. We feel the way we currently have the Key Comments for those books is adequate.
  9. Hi, Typically, to get on the newsstand, the book would come with the extra paper folded over. Assuming it has that natural fold, we would keep the extra paper folded over when we encapsulate it so that it fits in our holder. It does not get any special label or notation. It may be mentioned in the internal notes.

    $150 credit?

Hi, I'm sorry you haven't received an email response why don't you send me a PM here with your member number and name and I'll check with accounting for you. Thanks!
  11. Hi, No, I'm sorry CGC won't be at this con this year.
  12. Hi, As long as you have a fedex account number on file with us, you won't get charged. Why don't you email me your member number and fedex account number and I can get that all set up for you? My email is bree@cgccomics.com
  13. Hi, Unfortunately this is still too large for us to encapsulate.
  14. Hi, Yes, that is considered magazine sized.
  15. Hi, Yes, Nintendo Power magazines do count as comic magazines.
  16. Hi Patriot6! The information for each label (writers, artists, key comments, etc.), including how words are spelled, are stored in our database so that they don't have to retyped from scratch for every book. To go into the system and change a certain word's spelling, then print the label, and then go into the system and revert words back to the previous spelling, would be far too time consuming to do by request. We would essentially be creating a custom label every time.
  17. Hi, Books that have a signature on an interior page will not be Qualified, and therefore have the writing factored into the grade. An interior signature usually has a very minimal affect on the grade, and a small, neatly-placed signature on an interior page can often still achieve a 9.8 (assuming of course that the book is otherwise a 9.8 already). Although the book would get a Blue Universal label, it will still state (in lowercase) "Name written on 1st page in pen." (or whichever page it happens to be).
  18. Hello, The only way a comic can get our Signature Series authentication is if the book is actually signed in front of a CGC witness, employee, or through a CGC facilitator, and we immediately accept the comics for grading. That way we know with 100% certainty that the signature is authentic. If you don’t have a witness at the time of the book getting signed, unfortunately we would not be able to authenticate the signature. When CGC is present at a Comic Con, we will have witnesses available at the CGC booth that will walk with you to witness a signature. Go to the CGC booth before getting a signature and ask to have a witness escort you. We have witnesses available at multiple Comic Cons throughout the year to help you get your books signed and witnessed properly. You can find a complete list of the comic cons we will be attending at http://www.cgccomics.com/events We do not accept COA's as proof of signature as they are easily forged. We would recommend that you keep possession of your COA as we do not encapsulate them with your book. Your signed comics, if graded, would get our green Qualified label with a notation of "Name written on cover in marker" with no assertion of who may have signed the comic. By giving your comic our Qualified label, we are ignoring the signature for purposes of the grade. Please let me know if I may assist you with anything further.
  19. Hi, No, we are unable to grade hard cover magazines or comics.
  20. Hi, This isn't something any of our customer service representatives would say. Do you know who you might have spoken to? Thanks,
  21. The difference between a professional and an amateur is that the professional gets paid for their work. How about when a book is resubmitted and it comes back in a lower grade with no new defects introduced? Where does that stand in your opinion? According to cgc customer service it's impossible to resubmit a book without it being damaged while opening the slab. Also, you're exaggerating. Wait... I'm sorry what? When did they say this? Hi, I'm sorry do you know who you would have spoken to you that told you that? I'm the customer service manager here and I know for a fact that we can crack out books without there being any damage. Maybe there was some confusion in the conversation.

    Book Error

No, that shouldn't be. If CGC has made a mistake we will always fix it free of charge including getting you reimbursed for the shipping cost it took to get back to us.
  23. After doing some research and discussion between the comic book and magazine departments, we decided that this does warrant an update on our labels. The label for Marvel Super Action #1 will be changed to indicate that it is the first Weirdworld, and Marvel Premiere #38 will be changed to specify that it is the first appearance of Weirdworld in comics.
  24. Yes, we would be able to grade these, just make sure you have a witness for the Stan signatures.
