My second submission had 23 books and 23 books will be returned as mechanical error.  All 23 books have significant newton rings in the front center of the slabs.  19 have significant newton rings in the back center.  There are some other issues...  The encapsulator must be really gifted.  There was no QC seal on the invoice.

Amazing Spider-Man 70:  1" debris front corner (upper left in image) and 2 1/2" x 2" newtons front and back (not photographed).

That's All FolK!!  Thanks for coming out!  Drive home safely!

I’m starting to feel like Newton rings are starting to be the best outcome when receiving books back.

I'm not really sure what sending it back will do. I would think sending them pictures would be sufficient They can't really fix that, all they can do is try to hide it ... which really wouldn't surprise me if they did. If they look at it/regrade it and still give it a 9.8 even with that tear, I'm sitting on a goldmine.

Sorry this happened to you. Please keep us updated.

I'm hesitant to go through the trouble of sending it back, too.  I sent it in as a 9.8 candidate. A slabbed 9.0 is not worth an ME submission.  What I'd like is to be compensated for the damage so I can buy a replacement. @CGC Mike

Yes.  Complete a submission form by selecting the mechanical error option.  Be specific as to what has happened.  A prepaid shipping label will automatically be sent to you through the website (not by e-mail)   On the packing slip write the problem, and write ATTN:  Matt Nelson.  Be sure to write ME in multiple spots on the outside of the box.  Please PM me a tracking number when you have one.  Also, copy and paste the text you wrote here and the images of the book in the PM.

    Ok thanks will do

Definitely not the way to ship comics, and I feel bad he has to now go through the hassle of sending back to CGC, waiting to fix, and then shipping it back.

Though some of my empathy goes away due to the 7 min video for a 1 min problem, complete with "I'M SO MAD" thumbnail.

Dave is in it for views, but the problem is real and needs to be addressed
