  1. It gets worse - penny dropped - I actually have the Book of Death deluxe edition unread on my shelf!
  2. Shocking, what thirty years of hard living will do to a collector's memory!
  3. I don't remember them -where they a bit later or am I having a senior moment?
  4. https://comicvine.gamespot.com/archer-armstrong-6-more-trouble-in-paradise/4000-36693/
  5. Eternal Warrior should've been better - I liked the concept.
  6. Ah, yes of course. As I said, I have the comics, but I'd forgotten that. I do agree though. Must dig them out. I think I may be missing one or two of the zero numbered issues, cant remember which. And Unity was driven by what happened in Solar...
  7. I also particularly liked Solar 1-10, and the early issues of XO-Manowar and Magnus Robotfighter. As I recall, it was the latter got me interested in Valiant in the first place, because I loved the Gold Key Russ Manning iteration. I thought they did a pretty good job with the continuation. But after the first couple of years, a sort of blandness set in - maybe that was after Shooter left, I cant recall.
  8. I remember the phenomenon here in the UK. London Comic Marts went berserk as collectors realized that the early issues had low print runs. Everyone thought they were the next Marvel. I still have them after all these years.A near complete run of not-Marvel!
  9. For myself, the collected editions have been the focus- since the buzz this past year has been all about the loss of quality. I'm happy to stop here.
  10. I also have a fair few pulp artist monographs to share tomorrow.
  11. A pity too that all the covers are not full size - but one can't have everything! Pulp Cover Gallery Vol. 5 - Hero
  12. I suspect they may have had more volumes planned - for example, the Spicy pulps are sadly missing. Pulp Cover Gallery Vol. 4 - Science Fiction
  13. I did not get enough of the facsimiles before they stopped publishing, so I was grateful to discover this set later quite by chance. Pulp Cover Gallery Vol. 3 - Weird Menace
  14. Among my favorite books is this five volume leather bound set produced by Girasol before they went bust. Pulp Cover Gallery Vol. 1 - Weird Tales
  15. Bookpalace.com has two copies, and there is one currently listed on EbayUK It's OOP unfortunately, so be prepared for the nosebleed!
