  1. Hello guys... I had forgotten to let you know that in occasion of the 80th anniversary of Marvel ... ... the “WOW” Comics Museum of Milan (ITALY) from 12/9/2020 to 24/10/2021 has been holding the largest Marvel exhibition ever organized in Europe... I have contributed with a considerable amount of rare and unique material from the 60s / 70s / 80s (including AS1 CGC 9.0 …): dozens of US books, hundreds of records, vhs, super8, toys, puzzles, very rare Italian books, albums, club material, Mego figures, posters... And... among the several pictures of the exhibition you will find an entire wall covered of Key Marvels CGC books directly from my collection: Amazing Fantasy 15 1962 CGC 2.5 Amazing Spiderman 1 1963 CGC 9.0 Amazing Spiderman 39 1966 CGC 9.2 Amazing Spiderman 129 1974 CGC 9.4 Amazing Spiderman V2 36 2001 CGC 9.8 Avengers Golden Record Reprint 4 1966 CGC 9.0 Captain America 100 1968 CGC 9.0 Captain Marvel 1 1968 CGC 9.0 Conan The Barbarian 1 1970 CGC 9.4 Daredevil 168 1981 CGC 9.6 Dr. Strange 1 1974 CGC 9.2 Fantastic Four 49 1966 CGC 9.0 Fantastic Four 50 1966 CGC 9.0 Fantastic Four 112 1971 CGC 9.0 Fantastic Four Golden Record Reprint 1 1966 CGC 9.2 Ghost Rider 1 1973 CGC 9.4 Giant Size X-Men 1 1975 CGC 9.4 Incredible Hulk 102 1968 CGC 9.0 Incredible Hulk 181 1974 CGC 9.2 Iron Man 1 1968 CGC 9.2 Journey Into Mystery Golden Record Reprint 83 1966 CGC 9.2 Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. 1 1968 CGC 9.0 Punisher Limited Series 1 1986 CGC 9.6 Silver Surfer 1 1968 CGC 9.2 Spider-Man 1 1990 CGC 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 101 1976 CGC 9.2 Wolverine Limited Series 1 1982 CGC 9.6 I did my best to contribute to an event that I hope will remain memorable! It was really exciting to read my name below many of the items! CHECK MY GALLERY HERE: (yes...in the last pic it's me ) https://servimg.com/view/18724942/1287 AND THESE ARE A COUPLE OF EBAY VIDEO OF THE EXHIBIT (And no...it's not me any of the guys in the videos ) Federico Piccinini - Italy
  2. Here they are my two "Which way to the John" Stickers... I own both 1* and 2** variants!!!
  3. Wormboy... I was just looking at the checklist uncut sheet images again and I realized it might be the checklist cards for the second test issue with the Topps 1975 / Marvel 1975 copyrights! I think there is a test commodity code of “T-47-3” or maybe “T-47-4” on the right side of the checklist side of the sheet! Better images would really be helpful or if you can confirm the copyright info and the code info. Thanks Federico
  4. Hello everybody!!! These are my two little boys... I bought them back in 2006 for amounts that back then looked very high... Giant Size X-Men #1 - CGC 9.4 $1800 X-Men #94 CGC 9.2 $1095 but if I look at GSX1 CGC 9.4 nowadays prices after all they have been a good investment...:
  5. Here I am again.... As you may have noticed in my first reply, I am looking for some very rare variations: 1974 Test Issue #1 Checklist 9-card SET released for the 1975 22-sticker test issue #1 tan back without character names SET 1975/1975 44-sticker tan back Test Issue #2 SET 1975/1975 Checklist 9-card SET released for the 1975/1975 44-sticker tan back Test Issue #2 SET I have posted some pics that show these variations below... I took the following pictures from this very interesting site: http://www.bubblegumcards.org/Topps Super Heroes/CBHeroes.html http://www.bubblegumcards.org/Topps Super Heroes/Marvel.html
  6. Thanks!!! it took me 20 years to build it ... you never find a 100% complete 1* or 2* collection... and the variant stickers are unknown to most people. It's also hard to find stickers without dents or other problems. I bought the super rare sample set (22 stickers with tan back and no char names) 20 years ago...but after that I never saw a similar set appear again for sale. So my collection was built with EXTREME PATIENCE... Acetate stickers are a recent discovery made by my friend Joe Nocera. They are made of transparent/acetate material that looks 3dmensional. SGC has recently accepted to consider them a sample printing by Topps. Nobody seems to own a compete set....I own 23 different only. No I don't have any shippers. Yes "Which way to the John exists" in both 1* and 2** Best regards Federico
  7. Hello everybody! I noticed this interesting thread only today... I own a quite complete 1975 and 1976 Marvel sticker collection. These sets are among the best Marvel collectibles ever made!! In the first posts I noticed that wormboy cited copyright/trademark variants and caption variants in 1975 and 1976 stickers. To be precise in 1975 set there are 4x copyright/trademark variants: Hulk-1 (Vertical copyright at same position of “A” of USA of horizontal) Kazar (Copyright on one line) Submariner (upside down Copyright) Thor-1 (upside down Copyright) There is a Dr. Doom Variant with Vertical copyright on the right side, but exclusive to 1975/1975 Test Issue #2 SET and 2 caption variants (only for white backs): Spider-Man-2 “Bug Off” Captain Marvel “Which way to the John” in 1976 set there are 6x caption variants, but no copyright/trademark variant: Conan - "Shall we dance?" Hercules - "Look, I Have a Hang-Nail!" Loki - "Who says I'm bull-headed?" Luke Cage - "Two All Beef Patties Please!" The Hulk - "Help cure athlete's feet!" Volstagg - "Fat is beautiful!" 9. ...once again no 9.9 HI Guys! I have been away for a while Mego World Greatest Superheroes are my new passion so CGC books have lost the top priority in my collection...but despite of this I keep on submitting books... I have just received 60 graded comics (mostly early copper age) I had shipped to CGC in February 2016. 39 working days to get the awaited "graded" status is a VERY LONG TIME in my opinion. Honestly, after 38 submissions, I need to say that this long waiting really demotivates me a lot. I think that 15-20 working days should be the maximum acceptable amount of time. These books were selected during 2015 and most of them came back in 9.4 (the minimum grade I usually accept for post 1980 books) or better... 2x 8.5 3x 9.0 9x9.2 13x9.4 17x9.6 16x9.8 ...with the gem being a complete DD 227-233 (Nocenti Miller) run...that resulted in an almost complete set in 9.6-9.8 (weirdly 227 came out in 8.5 ) Unfortunately after 38 submissions to CGC for a total of 880 books I still haven't received a single 9.9 TITLE ISSUE FORECAST CGC Amazing Spider-Man 255 9.4-9.6 // 9.6 Amazing Spider-Man 343 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Avengers 299 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Avengers 300 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Cloak & Dagger 4 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Daredevil 227 9.4-9.6 // 8.5 Daredevil 228 9.4-9.6 // 9.6 Daredevil 229 9.4-9.6 // 9.6 Daredevil 230 9.4-9.6 // 9.6 Daredevil 231 9.4-9.6 // 9.8 Daredevil 232 9.4-9.6 // 9.8 Daredevil 233 9.4-9.6 // 9.6 Elektra Assassin 3 9.4-9.6 // 9.2 Excalibur 1 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Excalibur 6 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Excalibur 7 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Fantastic Four 322 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Fantastic Four 323 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Fantastic Four 336 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Hulk 369 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 Spawn 9 9.4-9.6 // 9.6 Thor 392 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 275 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 276 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 169 9.4-9.6 // 9.2 Uncanny X-Men 198 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 231 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 234 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 236 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 238 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 262 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 Uncanny X-Men 270 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 Uncanny X-Men 280 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 284 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 285 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 294 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 295 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 Uncanny X-Men 296 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Wolverine 4 9.6-9.8 // 9.0 Wolverine 5 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 X-Factor 12 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 X-Factor 14 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 X-Factor 33 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 X-Factor 35 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 X-Factor 71 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 X-Factor 84 9.2-9.4 // 9.0 X-Factor 85 9.6-9.8 // 9.0 X-Factor 86 9.6-9.8 // 8.5 X-Factor 19 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 186 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 193 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 197 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 267 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 Uncanny X-Men 279 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 287 9.6-9.8 // 9.6 Uncanny X-Men 288 9.6-9.8 // 9.4 Uncanny X-Men 289 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 290 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Uncanny X-Men 291 9.6-9.8 // 9.2 Wolverine 2 9.6-9.8 // 9.8 Ciao! 10. Let's celebrate my 1000th graded book and 202.000 registry points! AND ...once again no 9.9 HI Guys!I finally did it! after almost 10 years of CGC collecting...I reached the remarkable goal of owning more than 1000 graded books (1017 in competitive sets but they are 1041 if we consider my customs sets too).More than 202.000 registry points is not a bad result too!In February I submitted 60 more comics (mostly late bronze/early copper age) to CGC.Most of these were selected during 2014 and 85% of them came back in 9.4 (the minimum grade I usually accept for post 1980 books) or better...28x 9.8, 17x 9.6, 8x 9.4, 3x 9.2, 2x 9.0, 1x no grade , 1x 6.5Lately I have been concentrating on late bronze and early copper age Marvel books and they are very very hard to find in high grade!A minimal spine stress is capable of killing a gorgeous book. X-Factor 1-80, Uncanny X-men 200-280 are pretty hard to find in 9.6!I think high grade books of this period will be appreciated in the next decade by our sons :)Unfortunately after 37 submissions to CGC for a total of 820 books I still haven't received a single 9.9 :(Ok..I don't submit post-2000 books so the chances for a 9.9 are thin for bronze/copper age books but I still feel very unlucky.Turnaround was HORRIBLE this time. Cgc received my books on 04/01/2015 but they were ready to ship in early july.TITLE ISSUE FORECAST CGC2001 Space Odissey 3 9.2-9.4 // 9.62001 Space Odissey 4 9.4-9.6 // 9.62001 Space Odissey 5 9.4-9.6 // 9.42001 Space Odissey 6 9.6-9.8 // 9.82001 Space Odissey 7 9.6-9.8 // 9.62001 Space Odissey 9 9.6-9.8 // 9.62001 Space Odissey 10 9.4-9.6 // 9.4Marvel Fanfare 1 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Man-Thing V2 #1 1 9.4-9.6 // 9.4Micronauts 1 9.2-9.4 // 9.4Punisher War Zone 2 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Punisher War Zone 3 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Punisher War Zone 4 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Punisher War Zone 5 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Punisher War Zone 6 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Punisher War Zone 7 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Punisher War Zone 8 9.6-9.8 // 9.6Incredible Hulk 338 9.4-9.6 // 9.4What If 28 9.4-9.6 // 9.6Silver Surfer 1982 1 9.4-9.6 // 9.6Uncanny X-Men 253 9.4-9.6 // 9.6Uncanny X-Men 262 9.4-9.6 // 9.2Crisis on Infinite Earths 11 9.4-9.6 // 9.8SuperMan Man of Steel 3 9.4-9.6 // 9.2SuperMan Man of Steel 4 9.4-9.6 // 9.8SuperMan Man of Steel 5 9.4-9.6 // 9.8New Mutants 71 9.6-9.8 // 9.6New Mutants 72 9.6-9.8 // 9.6New Mutants 73 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Amazing Spider-Man 3rd 700 9.6-9.8 // 9.8What If II 1 9.6-9.8 // 9.8What If II 2 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Factor 37 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Factor 38 9.6-9.8 // 9.0X-Factor 39 9.6-9.8 // 9.6X-Factor 60 9.6-9.8 // 9.2X-Factor 61 9.6-9.8 // 9.4X-Factor 62 9.6-9.8 // 9.4X-Factor 63 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Factor 64 9.6-9.8 // 9.6X-Factor 65 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Factor 66 9.6-9.8 // 9.6X-Factor 67 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Factor 68 9.6-9.8 // 9.6X-Factor 69 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Factor 70 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Daredevil 264 9.6-9.8 // 9.4Daredevil 267 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Wolverine 75 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Men 25 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Force 25 9.6-9.8 // 9.6X-Factor 92 9.6-9.8 // 9.0X-Terminators 1 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Terminators 2 9.6-9.8 // 9.6X-Terminators 3 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Terminators 4 9.6-9.8 // 9.8X-Men 25Gold 9.6-9.8 // 9.8Excalibur 71 9.6-9.8 // 9.6Uomo Ragno II Serie 59 9.6-9.8 // .0Uomo Ragno III Serie 1 7.5-8.0 // 6.5Ciao!Federico - Italy
  11. Unfortunately my parents didn't allow me to buy Marvel comics when I was a child... so I read Topolino (Mickey Mouse) 'till the age of 10 I started reading Marvel stories very late... I remember that during the summer on the Adriatic Riviera ...it must have been 1985...there were TONS and TONS of Corno Marvel comic books at the local newsstands selling... like 10 for a penny (£100) Ciao! Federico
  12. And for our foreign friends...a glimpse at one of my UOMO RAGNO (1st series, ed. Corno) Collections...(This one is composed by VF/NM to NM+ books only) This series lasted from 1970 to 1981, and saw 283 issues printed. For us it has a very important hystorical importance because it contains the very first Spidey appearances in Italy...in italian language! In my pics you can see the different ways the stickers were attached to the books and some of the posters. Ciao! Federico
  13. What about these? Fantastici Quattro Corno 154 shrinkwrapped with the Supereroi sticker album...less than 3 in existance!!! and.....drumroll: Uomo Ragno 179 shrinkwrapped with the Supereroi sticker album...less than 2 in existance!! :-)
