  3. Picked up a small comic collection today and this amazing blank was in it. Any help with who the artist is? Looks like a SAM sig but I looked around and couldn’t find anything.
  4. If Kirk's last name starts with a T, a decent amount of these originally came from him.
  5. It was my best HeroesCon ever and I've been a vendor every year since 2013. I had 5 tables and 4 of them were $1-$5 books. Cheap stuff was flying out of my booth as people seemed turned off by the still-COVID priced wall books from most dealers. I sold a nice amount of wall books too, but I recently repriced all of them to adjust to the current market. My percentage for the days to my total was approx Friday 35% Saturday 45% Sunday 20%. Buying wasn't great for big books. I did well in the cheap boxes and as stated earlier, TNT's half off Sunday was nice. i can't even think of a single book that I paid more than $20 for until then. Not sure why it took me a month to post this but...
  6. Just picked up a nice little MJV collection. 8 shorts full of (unfortunately) all DC Jewelers. I obviously wish this had been a Marvel collection, but he's still attached to those. I don't really know how I'm going to sell them yet or even what the market is but it seemed like a fun little side project to take on.
  7. He mentioned that to me a few weeks ago as well as he was looking into buying a new house. It's the #1 Captain Marvel set in the registry and quite amazing! Comics Set Detail (collectors-society.com)
  8. They're great. We've ordered tens of thousands of regular bags/boards from them and have another 20k coming Friday. Shipping is expensive to SC, but it's still cheaper than BCW and the quality is much better. Roughly $115 per 1000 bags/boards combos is what I paid. Unfortunately, they are no longer selling their 28pt boards in bulk so we had to go to the 24pt.
  9. Just stunned. I just talked with him Friday (as I did almost daily). We hung out in February in Charleston and a BUNCH at SCComiccon two weeks ago. I don’t think there was a nicer guy in the hobby. He always seemed to put others needs before his own and was always looking out for other people in their quests to upgrade or complete 9.8 sets. We had just started a business partnership (along with Joey) a few months ago. He was concerned with nothing more than making sure that Joey and I made our money and he was always willing to take a smaller cut to insure that happened. He even submitted his own books into the deal and still split the profits equally. Just a sweetheart of a man who was so well respected in the community…especially in the Southeast where he was a frequent visitor to the con scene. Rest easy, Brother. I love you.
  10. A local con dealer picked up 8 various spinners for $500 last week and passed the savings on to some of his friends. I sold my Hey Kids rack a decade ago and regretted it ever since. To say I was absolutely thrilled to be able to pick these up for a mere $340 is an understatement. Pretty ornate base on the Dell.
  11. Only the FOURTH in the census. ComicLink already has it and it will be in their April auction (along with 30+ more of our books). Just a fantastic looking book (just a smidge off on the registry). @djpinkpanther67 @joeypost
  12. Apparently the info Mike posted makes me wonder. When I sent mine on back in January, it was 270+ working days. Looks like they’ve cut it in half.
  13. Unless it’s for your PC and you don’t mind waiting over a year, I wouldn’t recommend it. I recently did a 21 book order and had them back with Fast Track in under two weeks door to door vs more than a year using standard. Well worth the $315 extra for the entire order.
  14. Lobo Convention Special is a really fun read for collectors.
  15. I love Batman: Speeding Bullets. It's my favorite Elseworlds story.
