  1. I may be wrong, but I think that October is the regular month for the show. I don't mind it being a bit later, but I also don't have far to go so I don't need to worry about distance relative to other shows on the calendar.
  2. They were there last year, and seemed busy every time I saw them, so I am optimistic.
  3. Happy to report that my JIM #1-82 run is complete. Once I have the last book in hand I will do a group post.
  4. I'd vote for Tim Boo Ba next, this is one of my favorite covers of all the pre-hero books.
  5. That would be a good one as well. These are extremely cool, may be the post of the year on this thread in terms of being both fantastic and completely unexpected. It isn't often we get to see something we haven't seen before with these characters.
  6. That’s a beauty! I still need to upgrade my copy.
  7. Recently picked up the last 35 cent variant I needed for ASM.
  8. This may have already come up, but recently we have been getting slabs back with the top part of the label crunched. Just got back a box of 15 and each one has this to one degree or another. Do you know what may be going on here, @CGC Mike?
  9. This has happened a few times for us lately. Sub spends more time in GEI than all the other stages combined.
  10. FYI, the other 10/26 shipped yesterday. That was 9 calendar days after the other modern that arrived in the same box shipped.
  11. Just so you know, it isn’t the custom labels holding them up. One of the subs we just got back has Spidey labels while the one from the same box in GEI are regular blue.
  12. Mike, will this have any effect on the FIFO issues we have been having? If you check the invoices I posted our last three group submissions (10/26, 11/2, and 11/9) have each had one modern invoice ship while another is still in GEI. I understand that FIFO can't be expected to be perfect, but waiting on our 10/26 modern to get out of GEI after having received the slabs from another group shipped to CGC in the same box is a bit frustrating.
  13. Nope. If any were fast track it would say under the service. We haven’t done any fast track on moderns in a while, we let the chips fall where they may.
  14. @Kevin Boyd, any idea when you may have a comic creator guest list for Megacon?
  15. I don’t think they’re doing onsite at any shows lately. I haven’t seen it listed.
  16. Just did a submission and I was able to mix custom label types in the sub. Not sure where I went wrong, but I was wrong. Thanks!
  17. Thanks for this! Does this mean Dallas Fan Festival is off the schedule?
  18. That hadn’t been my experience. When I’ve tried in the past each different label type required a different invoice. If that has changed and any/all custom labels can be used in a submission that would be a step in the right direction.
  19. @CGC Mike, he nailed it. If I could have both regular blue labels and custom labels in the same submission that would lead to more purchases of custom labels. As it is now, if I have 25 books and would like two of them to get Spidey labels and three to get Wolverine that means three different subs (20, 2, and 3 books) with three separate return shipments.
  20. @CGC Mike, this may have been addressed before, but if it could be possible to mix custom labels on one submission that would allow more custom labels to be used. I have had plenty of books I would have used a custom label with, but since it would have incurred the extra costs of a separate sub (handling fee and separate shipping) I did not.
  21. In this same vein, since Marvel plays ball on the labels what about various eras of their logos? I would personally do a ton of Atlas globe custom labels. I’ll be quiet now.
  22. Id like to see a vintage Iron Man logo, the #128 cover image shown earlier would be a good choice. I do like the custom labels, but I’m also particular about the label matching the book in terms of era. For example, I wouldn’t have put that label with the more modern armor style on an Iron Man #1. Personal preference, YMMV. I also much prefer the unvaulted Spider-man label over the JSC, as it is more applicable across eras of the character.
