  1. I'm disappointed as well, but I knew there was a real risk of the signing not happening when I submitted my book. Under these circumstances it is no surprise that his health has declined and he is prevented from signing, but it was worth a shot.
  2. Anyone here win that Strange Tales of the Unusual #7 on Comiclink last night? I had a fairly weak bid on it, and with it being an 8.5 it made me think of a certain board member who posts here frequently...
  3. For that matter any word on any of the guests that needed to cancel in '21? In particular I wanted to meet Tony Harris, and hope to have that opportunity. Five months away!
  4. Maybe I'm crazy, but with prices I have seen on these lately that seems damn near reasonable for a 9.2 White Mountain with a black cover.
  5. Nice pickup! That is a solid copy of a fairly difficult book.
  6. A couple of nice upgrades to start the new year (really end the old year, but they arrived in 2022).
  7. As well you should be. Very tough in anything like mid-grade.
  8. I had a casual bid on the #53, it would have been an upgrade so I didn’t go nuts. Some of those books went crazy. I hate the bidding structure as well, but there was one JIM I needed and got another couple of upgrades so I was happy. I’ve been too busy to get on the boards much lately but I’ve kept up via the emailed updates. I did want to hop on quickly to wish my pre-hero brethren happy holidays and I hope there are lots of pre-hero books under trees for everyone!
  9. If you take the chef's hat off that is pretty much a video of me too.
  10. Any data on how long QC will take if GEI is taking (at least) 6 weeks? Asking for a friend.
  11. I haven't been on much lately, but definitely wanted to offer congratulations on your completion!
  12. I'm getting the impression that GEI is the new purgatory. I have had two individual books from signings sitting in GEI a couple of days shy of a calendar month now. Recently it seems that if a sub hits GEI it either moves to shipped like instantaneously, or you need to get ready to wait for a looooong time. No inbetween.
  13. I hope yours moves faster than mine has. My Sienkiewicz book has been in GEI a couple of days shy of a calendar month.
