  1. Love it! Those books scream Golden Age. Such raw energy comes to mind.
  2. A dozen Action #1's. Unbelievable!! Michelle Nolan said his collection was incredible also. thanks for the link.
  3. According to some people, Rick Durell had one of the best comic collections in the 1960's . Mostly high grade , complete runs.
  4. The only other person who comes to mind for me would be Larry Ivie. Collectors would come from all over to see his collection of art , books back in the day. Plus he published also among other things .
  5. Jerry Bails comes to mind also. Biljo White, another collector. Raymond Miller born 1930 was collecting in the Golden Age also. Malcolm Willits, Claude Held, Bill Thailing, early dealers/collectors also. Bruce Hamilton , John Snyder they were the 1st big investors of the hobby . Jerry Bails is the one for me imo that kicked Fandom off.
  6. Sorry about the scans, they look a whole lot better in hand.
  7. Here's another, paid about $475.00 for it some years back. Lou Fine at his best!!
  8. I don't think I could replace this . I bought it off Harley Yee about 20 years ago for $175.00.
  9. Jeff , what a great book to own in that grade. I have one myself, maybe a 6.0. raw. Murphy Anderson was/ is one of my fave artists from the Silver Age. Congrats , on a stunning copy. Btw , your right, #56 kicks also!!!
  10. Rick, wishing you nothing but the best . I think your going to make out pretty good. And Family always comes first. Pick up a few favorites if you can down the road. You deserve it.
  11. Saturday morning , sitting in front of TV with your favorite cereal when these shows came on. What a great way to start your day. Doesn't get any better then that.
  12. Those pages look pretty good to me. What were they smoking ? Then again it is a professional opinion. Opinion being the root word.
  13. Pure nostalgia for me. 1960's cartoons,,Spider man , Fantastic Four , Marvel Super Heroes show, Space Ghost, Herculoids, Scooby Doo,but my all time favotite Jonny Quest. It was and still is a benchmark IMO.
  14. So simplistic. The colors, mood . Underated IMO.
  15. What a great book , Amazing Man #8. Have one also.
  16. Marty, Thank you for sharing your collection with us.
