  1. Not only is Sean a great seller, he is quite pleasing to the eye and also is very creative in the use of unusual packing materials. Good times. Three thumbs up.
  2. RIP Howard. Great guy. Always helpful and a great resource for undergrounds. I have a many books in my collection that were sent as extras when I bought from him. He was always turning people on to new artists and books you would have passed on if not for him. He will be missed.
  3. Bad woman , Bad divorce equals Gas in the belly. Brutal.Hope he makes it back.
  4. Not comics but , back in the 90's I did the east coast national sportcard show and Reggie Jackson was there buying his rookie cards. I had 2 or 3 in my showcase. Sure enough he stopped by my table asked to look at the cards, looked at them and gave them back, said thanks and walked away. His lackey then walks up and proceeds to tell me to sell them to Reggie for basically peanuts because he was Reggie. Put a bad taste in my mouth to this day the way he did it. Needless to say he did not buy any of mine. I heard he did buy a bunch though.
  5. I am pretty sure they would have a Cole Awards if he had lived into the year 2000.He died in the 1950s. I Imagine he would have got a chance at Plastic Man again at DC over the years if he had lived. btw Plastic Man is one of the few golden age characters that would translate very well in a modern mainstream movie. Definitely. I can see a Plasticman Pixar movie doing quite well. Funny enough for kids with enough underlying subtext for adults to enjoy also.
  6. Just read a nice little book on Cole's life. Outstanding artist , tragic life. One of the best
  7. There was a great documentary on this art heist a couple years ago. It focused on one gentleman who spent many years tracking down leads, informers etc. It was a fascinating look into the high stakes underground art world. Amazing that such high profile paintings or any valid information about them had surfaced after all these years. Great Saturday morning art refresher.
