  1. *cough, cough* James J *cough, cough* Not me,he is in north Jersey. I'm in central Jersey by the water. James when you finally open the inevitable Walking Dead Original Art Museum in Jersey please send me an invite!
  2. Compendium 2 very briefly deals with a group most similar to those the TV survivors are currently facing.
  3. This page had Rick in more panels so obviously that's worth an additional 5 bucks
  4. Back then you could probably get the entire issue for $2,000, cover included!
  5. A driver escaped a violent horde of people dressed as zombies pounding on his car by plowing through the crowd and hitting a 64-year-old pedestrian at a San Diego intersection, police say. Daily News
  6. I did. It is up for sale again: http://shop.thewalkingdead.com/products/the-walking-dead-lucille-vinyl-mini-replica-bat Thanks for the heads up, ordered!
  7. I pick up 75 pages from Mark. The ones that were passed on from so many collectors and flippers. The pages were between issues 64-99. No real good moments going on but if you look through the pages and take it panel by panel, IMO you will see some very good work by Charlie. You have to remember that it is a feat in of its self that Charlie has never delayed the monthly release. Talk about an artist being worked to the bone Any other reasons for me to pick them up? Yes............I have be collecting for two years now. When I first started I bought direct from Mark, private sellers and ebay. Most of what I was picking up came after issue 101. As the prices started to shoot up for the newer issues, It was time to look for pre 48 pages. At that time they seemed like deals.Last year I was still picking those pages for between 300- 500 hundred.Well needless to say it seems like the prices on them have moved up. So where can I get the best bang for my dollar now?Seems to be pages between issues 49-99. For me its not about the returns on the pages and I'm having fun. So why not pick up some IMO fair priced OA. I'm not sure it was the largest amount of pages sold at one time. I think I remember hearing that a couple of issues or so were sold overseas. But I do know it was not the largest dollar amount as far as deals go for Mark. That's a lot of art of in just 2 years, very impressive! It's a great purchase, you can never have too much OA OA and I doubt Charlie will ever go back to inking the interior pages. So how did 75 pages of art arrive? You must have had 10 packages waiting for you
  8. Agreed, hopefully RK chooses instead to show us something new.
  9. Came across this familiar scene, even the shadowing of Magna's face in the last panel matches Rick.
  10. A little birdie told me that as of right now Adlard will NOT be at NYCC. Don't know about RK. But I'd only go if Adlard would go. I'd still go even if it's just Kirkman so he can sign my OA. Have him sign your comics not your OA .......unless you have him sign the back of the OA. Save the front for Charlie. Since the scene was originally conceived by Robert I think his signature belongs next to Charlie's. Just don't personalize it. Unless you plan on leaving it for your kids. 2 SWEEEETTTT pages up on the bay and both are personalized. Sucks so bad. I also remember when I picked up your Tony Moore Rick comission I was surprised to see he had personalized it. I figured if I ever sold it the "Carl" could always stand for Rick's son That's the one I have. It says ROT ON CARL, I don't mind it just cause of that reason. It's a commission, it's not a published piece. Yep that's the one! Tony said he might use it someday for something so who knows maybe it could end up as the cover of a sketch book.

Eric Powell onced personalized some art to my wife and I out of the blue - luckily he did it in pencil.

  15. I think Midtown may get NYCC tickets today. Still not sure if Kirkman or Adlard are going.
  16. , I think Mark personally flew to Jersey to hand deliver this order.
  17. Someone who will remain nameless ( James J) uploaded 80 pages of Walking Dead art on his CAF gallery . It seems we found out where those missing pre #100 pages went.
  18. Holy mess, 80 pages! Now we know what happened to all the pre issue #100 pages from Splash Bravo James! Even listing them in CAF must have taken all day.
  19. Only pages from 115 forward have double pages-one penciled by Charlie Adlard & one inked by Stefano Gaudiano. Stefano works off of a blue lined copy of Charlie's pencils-so it's very obvious which is which. We buy the pages directly from Charlie & Stefano's art dealer Mark Hay at Splash Page Art so there is no doubt they are the actual pages from the published book. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to understand. Obviously there's no doubt if you buy it straight from the rep. But what about second hand? Is there anything on the page itself to differentiate it from any blue line copy. Sorry, I realized too late that I didn't actually answer that, No, there are no official markings on either penciled or inked page. But it would be very difficult to fake an inked page. The fake would have to be in color because we can see the blue lines. Also, it would take an extremely high res scan to make a copy 11 x 17 that doesn't show any pixelation. Even if they did all that, it's still obvious by looking at dark areas that actual ink has bleed into the paper at various levels which wouldn't happen with a printed image.

  21. Seller has a feedback history of 1...sounds VERY suspicious!
  22. Anna and Carl sitting in a tree............................... Another baby to this world? Teenage parents? I'm imaging one last time jump before the series is over, with Carl as an adult with a family, bringing him to where his father was in the first issue.
