When DC announced that there doing the Black Label Series, they also announce it as being matured. Heck, they even announce that Batman White Knight will be getting a Black Label treatment (w/ Joker and Harley, doing it full-on). When DC announced it, people didn't noticed it. They were just "eh...whatever". When the book arrived, comic book store, didn't heavy ordered it either. I think at my area, only one LCS ordered heavily, the rest only ordered for their Batman pull box. Even then, people weren't noticing it..... Only when DC announced that, it's going back to 2nd printing and saying that on future printing, it'll be censored. Then that's when everybody wants a piece of it. It also doesn't help that it was featured on some Late Night Shows. I think the reason for this crazy spike is, it's not because of "it", i think, it's because censored future printing and it got crazy publicity coverage......

I’m on the fence if this would have staying power. It has Batman, the first book of DC’s new comic book lines, showed Batman’s wang (a shadowy at best), it also showed us a side of Bruce’s dad, plus the Joker died. But it if you guys all remember Marvel’s Ultimate Line. That was supposed to bring the characters into the 20th century... what happened now??? The only remnants is Miles (Spider-Man 2.0) At first the line was big success, MCU Nick Fury was even based on that. But eventually, the line folded, and nobody cared anymore. Id say Batman Damned #1 is like Ultimate Spider-Man #1.... for a few years it’ll stay hot, but eventually it’ll cool down.....

Where do you live?? If you’re close to the GTA, there’s a lot of LCS that’ll submit books for you. A much easier route IMHO. If that’s not an option, if you go to Canada Post’s website, there is a form that’ll you need. I forgot the form number. Essentially the form has to be half filled out by you and CGC. Basically the form is to inform custom that you’re not selling/buying anything but only a service (CGC). This way you won’t get charged/taxed when the book returns to you.

The only difference between the two is the forehead shadow of Batman (one has it and the other doesn't) and the elastic on Catwoman's goggles (one has more lines)..... Other than those two, I don't see any difference. I guess he's so used to drawing Batman and Catwoman, that he can drawing them almost identically. It is a sketch though..... I guess if he's asked to draw Batman and Catwoman head sketches, that's his default drawing. He doesn't have to think about poses or head position or where to draw

A year is just too long I wish they would show a picture narrating the books..... I know it's Hazel, but the dialogue suggest that she's all grown-up and telling this story to somebody......

Before the issue came out, I’ve already saw the Times article. I thought it was pretty stupid of DC to let the cat out of the bag even before the issue came out. But then when I read the issue, especially the last page, I think dc took a gamble. Just think what would Batman and Catwoman do when (not if) they found out who what/who really was pulling the strings. Also, if you’ve been reading the previous books, King dropped a few hints here and there about this, especially his Batman-Joker-Catwoman storyline. So it wasn’t a big surprise nor a big disappointment.

Agreed...... He's Batman looked like it's trying too hard to have "man-boobs" Plus, why is Black Canary there?? She's not part of the Bat-family. Where's Damien, Red Hood, or at least Alfred?? And isn't ClayFace and Harley a good guys now?? That Robin looked like Tim Drake BUT with his old uniform. Did anybody even told JSC that this is for Batman/Catwoman wedding?? It looked more like Hero vs Villain poster. I like JSC, but this time....... PASS

I really didn’t like the ladies covers (MJ, Gwen and BlackCat). I always felt there more of an eye candy than anything else. Plus JSC is I think the only one that draw frackers on MJ (what’s up with that).

JSC website only sells them raw (signed or unsigned) you have to get them graded on your own. Or lurk at the Board ‘s market place. Dre or someone else might be selling them graded. On another question, anybody knows if you can do advanced ordering??? I remember when he did Jean Grey #1 (6 covers) the complete premium set were sold out, even before the sales open. The website’s Facebook or Twitter mentioned something about advanced ordering. Anybody knows anything about this???

I got the impression that "red labels" were CGC's "prototype" label/phase, it that true? Not many red labels from my understanding.

Same thing happened to me. I have a really good collection of VHS and Betamax. I got copy of cool sci-fi movies like : Flight of the Navigator, The Last Star Fighter, Superman 1-3 etc.... my Betamax cabinet became my vhs cabinet, then became my DVD cabinet, then became my blu-ray cabinet... now, it just stores my kids loose lego

Great design, wish I had the $$$ and house to do something like this. Just love it. One recommendation, you better have some support in place when you open and pull out those drawers. If the drawers pulls out at least 3 feet, and full of slab books, the weight of the slabs plus the distance would create a lot of stress. One slab weighs close to 1lb, if you are able to put about 40-50 slab in there, you got close to 40lbs. The railing should be able to support that, even for distance of 3 ft. You also need a those railing to be bolted and secured properly. You don’t want them pivoting. GOod Luck

Is there a tool for books that CGC received? That tool is for books that’s been graded and shipped.

I have a question if I may play “devils advocate” : why did you guys call/complain to Paradise Comics at the 3rd to 4th month? Why complain now at the 9th month or 1 year?? i don’t submit a lot of books to cgc, but I would estimate that it would take 3-4 months to send-grade-return from/to Canada. That timeframe might even be too long.... if this question has been asked before, please link me up. Full Disclosure: I’m not associated with them, I too have some books submitted, but it’s only been at the two months mark.
