  1. The CL 25 definitely has color touch. The seller had a "it might have touch up" buried in the description, but it's pretty obviously there once the scans are blown up. Yes, multiple areas of color touch (look in the upper right hand corner too, for example). Still a bright and attractive book... That is true! I was actually the first bidder and placed my bid really high. I was outbid and surprised people want this copy even with resto. I honestly can't predict a price for the CL25? any ideas? I would be shocked if it went over $1,500.00.
  2. Umm, Maybe Four Color 16 Series 1? The First Mickey Mouse in comic book Format. Yes this book is somewhat expensive, but it is pretty rare. I am just not sure, but I am going to assume Mickey Mouse is just as iconic as any other character out there? Yet somehow the 5.0 Copies sell for less than most Silver Age key books. I also agree with Oak that Horror comics are undervalued.
  3. I love group shot pictures! Nice books.
  4. neat book Would it make sense to crack this book out and have some professional restoration done to bump that grade up significantly? Maybe slight moderate can get it to a 6,0? 6.5? Its possible... X-Men devalues a lot restored though... I don't see it as a perfect candidate. I only buy a restored book now days to crack it out of the slab and use it as a reading copy.
  5. Very nice books guys! Glad to see this thread is back! just in time before the film.
  6. 100% correct! I actually save money during the year to pick up comics in December... I purchased a lot of X-men comics from JSComics, Collectors_Comics, Comics4less...All at great prices! including keys... Early this December I even picked up a mid graded X-men 1 for lower than GPA in a private sale and one on ebay. But December is now ending...I was hoping there were better keys to pick up...but most sellers already know not to sell. The Machine that is jscomics just can't stop listing though! I think they bought some old time dealer who had a huge warehouse (did they buy red beard's book den?), but that was a long time ago and where the heck do they get all this stuff? they just have wave after wave of books when they do shows. They probably purchased a giant warehouse collection as you stated. They most likely continue to purchase collections as well. I just picked up a bunch of okay X-Men books and other books from Comics4Less yesterday off their auctions. I noticed Jscomics is sometimes lower grade books VS sparklecity and Comics4Less. I always check them on a weekly basis. Last night many decent keys were posted on Ebay to start the new year!

  8. Was that movie hype? Very unimpressed with The Vision in A2, and one of my favorite Avengers as a kid. Killer covers on 57 & 58 I think it's safe to say almost everything is movie/tv show related hype now. +1. And to that end, Av57 will move back up as soon as Vision appears in the next Captain America Civil War trailer, which is probably a couple of months away. (Viz didn't appear in the trailer released last week.) I would agree. I suppose now is a good time as ever to grab a copy. Has anyone seen any major books take downturns recently? I'm talking about JIM83, Avengers #1, etc. I think I've also seen a decrease in demand for TTA #35. TTA 27 for sure, Strange Tales 110, even Hulk 1 seems to have slowed down and fallen a bit in mid grade. On SA Marvels I think a long over-due cooling down period is here with some relatively modest corrections/adjustments taking place -- but also some exceptions (early ASMs, which had cooled off, are on the rise again). On SA DC (I'm talking pre-1963) there's still some room for growth, but not much more, then it's due to plateau. One important caveat: if 2016 hero movies like Supes/Bats and Captain America hit it out of the park, we're back on the crazy train again. These next 3 months might be a good time to nail down relative bargains. My I agree on Superman & Batman. I also think the JLA will rise along with the other JLA heros. GL keys will rise once he is introduced back into the movie world. Wonder Woman is already getting an increase across the board (long overdue). ASM will probably rise again if they use Spiderman in avengers...
  9. I sold Brock a four figure book. Easy and fast experience. Would love to sell to him in the future.
  10. Here is the website link. Anyone who comes to CA should visit here. You might leave with a key book. http://www.frankandsonshow.net
  11. You guys are forgetting or do not know of the biggest of them all. The Frank and sons collectible show. It's opened only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's a gigantic warehouse with collectibles of all types and mostly comics. I've purchased AF15s, FF1, Incredible Hulk 1 etc... From there. The dealers have all the comics from different years. Last week one dealer had a AC252 maybe around a VF-?
  12. 71 is pricey too. I just sold one on eBay for around $1800. It was a white page copy. I literally purchased it for half of that. The Tecs 69 have tripled since then.
  13. I have been selling Joker Covers for a while on eBay. I use to horde them. I still have my Tecs 69s... I might sell one soon. It's a CGC 4.5 with off white to white pages. Never been pressed, old label. This is they key of the joker books. I'm guessing it's the iconic cover. It's just too nice. I don't see this ever going down in value. I wouldn't sell it for cheap either, I would just rather keep them if the price isn't right.
