I am out of work right now but we will see if I have enough cash left over from bills to pick one of these up. even if I don't have enough I will try to donate something. I lost my cousin not to long ago way before it should have been his time so I know what its like to lose someone close and how much any little bit helps when it comes to raising money. glws and hopefully ill have some left over
I am sorry for your loss, my grandfather isn't the only person I've lost so I know how hard it can be to lose those that you care about. Any amount is very much appreciated, because it does add up over time. Thank you for your support.

Great Charity. GLWTS!
Thanks, hopefully I'll have some takers soon.

I am selling this comic for charity here. This may look familiar as I listed some for sale last year for charity.
On September 9th, 2011, I lost my grandfather, Colonel Theodore Dale to prostate cancer after a 30+ year battle. He was and still to this day is the definition of a fighter and never letting being dealt bad cards in life get him down. Not only did he battle cancer for over 30 years but he also had a 30+ year career in the military, being a veteran of not only WWII but Korea and Vietnam as well. He continues to be one of my biggest inspirations in my life and his memory has helped me to really start putting some things into perspective.
This marks my 3rd year walking in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and with all of your help last year I was able to raise $2550, and I am looking to increase the amount I raise this year.
I am going to list a few of my collecting extras that I have collected over the last few years and instead of the usual payment method of sending me money, whenever someone wins a comic from this listing I will simply have you make a donation to my donation page on the American Cancer Society's website (donations are 100% tax deductible):
Click here for my donation page!
Even if you are not interested in the comics, you are more then welcome to make a donation. Standard rules apply
wins the item and I will cover shipping cost inside the USA (if outside the US, please contact me).
Also, if you have any extra graded comics lying around that you are willing to toss into this sale you are more then welcome to, its a great cause and I think in some way or another we all have been touched by cancer. Thank you for your time and on to the comics.
Rawhide Kid #50 CGC 9.8 Off-White to White Pages - $150
All the CGC cases are in great condition with no cracks or anything, and offers will be considered but like usual
will trump PMs.
Any other questions just shoot me a message, have a great day and best of luck to you all!

Honestly, as much as I'd love to see big donations, I think it personally effects me more when I see more small donations. Knowing that there are more people out there willing to give anything to help just makes me feel better I guess.
I don't have many CGC graded comics compared to a lot of people on here (around 100 or so) but if there are any that stick out to people on here that want to make an offer or something on them I'd definitely consider it as a donation, instead of paying me you'd just make a donation and I'd ship it to you. I did this last year and it seemed to go over well.

Continuing my journey in my grandfather's name
This marks my third year walking in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. I lost my grandfather after a 30+ year battle with prostate cancer on September 9th, 2011. He has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life and continues to inspire me to this day.
Last year I raised $2550, although this year with a new job I have not been able to do as much fundraising, not to mention I have been on the committee for my event to help plan everything so that's been taking up my time as well.
I know cancer has touched just about everyone's life in some form or another and really this link is just for anyone interested in helping me out.
http://main.acsevents.org/goto/mikelutes13
That is the link to my personal donation page on the American Cancer Society's website. Also, if anyone is interested in any comics I have, I'd definitely consider selling some in return for donations as opposed to money. I did this on the boards last year and it did really help raise some money for this great cause. As much as I love my comics I am more passionate about this cause, so no matter what kind of support you can give, whether its a kind word or a passing on of the message, thank you. Every ounce of support does mean a lot to me.

Middleton, Chaos Agent, Old Dog, Hellbent, & The Ninth Life Of Solomon Gunn
Hey everyone, this is just a short journal about a Kickstarter page I came across the other day for Bad Karma Volume One ("A 200 page hardcover comics, prose and art collection by Alex Grecian, Jeremy Haun, B. Clay Moore & Seth Peck and collaborators."). It sounded interesting enough to me that I made a small contribution and considering there's a week left I figured I'd post this on here for anyone who might be interested.

Yeah but part of it for me is that the label be correct, especially for a signature series issue like this. And on the off chance I do ever sell it I'd probably get more if the label was correct.
I've contacted CGC and they said they'd correct it for no charge minus the shipping to them but with shipping times being so bad lately I'm not sure if I'd be ok with it being gone that long. Although last time they did it very quickly and threw in a scan of it for free.
I'm just picky when it comes to things like this and considering this is the second one I've owned like this and I've seen several more like it, it just makes me wonder why this one seems to get messed up like this.
-
I've come across probably around 10 or so, including two that I own. The universal copy I own I even sent back into CGC to get it corrected and when I got it back it was still saying Quality Comics so I had to send it in a second time and that's when they finally got it fixed.
-
Why does CGC get this wrong so much?
That is Judge Dredd #1 from Quality Comics from October of 1986. Yet I continuously come across Judge Dredd #1 from Eagle Comics from November of 1983 graded as and with the CGC label for the one from Quality Comics.
CGC has worked with me in getting this corrected in the past but why is it such a problem? Anyone else have this problem?
Image below is a recent purchase of mine off eBay of a Judge Dredd #1 signed by Brian Bolland where the label says its the Quality Comics issue but it's obviously the Eagle Comics issue.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life
So, as some of you know, I walked in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of NE Jackson County, Missouri this last June (I walked 22 miles and raised $2550). This year I have set my goals even higher and have already been getting to work talking to a few people about donations, sponsorships, silent auction items, etc. One idea I had this year is that I am contacting all the artists that will be at my local comicon in April (Planet Comicon in downtown Kansas City, Missouri) about them donating their artwork to put together a portfolio as a silent auction item for the Relay. I thought this might be something different and a way of sharing something I love with the rest of the people at the Relay and hopefully it would raise at least a little money. What I was curious is what everyone thinks of this idea? Any suggestions for other ideas? Or do you know any other artists that might be interested in donating a commission for this? Other ideas I have been looking into:
-Local business silent auction items
-Local business fundraisers
-Autographed celebrity 8x10s or other items
This is only my third year doing the Relay For Life, but I am wanting to get more and more involved in this. If any of you have any ideas or know of any artists that would like to contribute or would like to donate yourself, please contact me on here. And if you'd like to make a donation yourself, here is my personal donation page: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?fr_id=52260&pg=personal&px=21877995
