What's your lowest-CGC-graded comic in your personal collection?
davidpg replied to Jesse-Lee's topic in Comics General
Mine is a Daredevil 241 in 9.6. Well it's the ONLY CGC book I own, so.... ;) -

"B" is for "Briscoe"? The story behind the B copies.
davidpg replied to october's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Here in Montreal we have a TON of comics with the B on the cover. Here, the B stood for Benjamin News, the biggest local periodical distributer in the area back in the day. I have local OO collections from the 50s I've picked up as well as a ton of books I personally picked up off the racks myself in the 80s and they all have that same cursive B (I swear it must have been the same lady as the writing is the same ;) ). If anyone's interested I can dig some out and post pics. -
ANT-MAN & THE WASP QUANTUMANIA directed by Peyton Reed (2023)
davidpg replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
So I decided to set aside some time to watch this a couple evenings ago. I finished up what I had to get done at home and cot comfortable on the couch and started the movie. It was great! I fell perfectly soundly asleep with about an hour left to go and slept like a baby until the music from the credits woke me, and I quickly continued my slumber in my bed not moments later. Wow it was uninteresting.- 1,053 replies

So what would my slipcased and signed hardcover trade be going for these days? I've had it on my shelf for years, and seem top be asking in the $300 area for them though not many sold.

A LOT of the cast will be appearing together at the Montreal Comicon this summer…..

As much as I hate to admit it, I could actually see Seth Rogan as the Thing. And i can't stand that guy at all anymore. And I'd watch Mila Kunis do anything for 2 hours.

I bought a couple hunderd bags anmd boards from an LCS in Kitchener a couple years ago, I really like them a lot actually. Solid, clear...great stuff especially considering the price.

PGM GA Shadow classic horror cover!
davidpg replied to Robot Man's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I was up at 5.0 with the GA bump if you'd be lucky...I say 4.5 quite possibly. -
15 cent cover times = bronze.

I posted this thrift store pickup on a thread in general, figured I'd share here as well. These were in the case at the cash, along with a dozen or so nice photo cover westerns that I decided to leave behind. Serves as a reminder that there are STILL plenty of interesting books out there

The visuals are a COMPLETE turn off. And my ex kept telling me the same thing so I'm an expert.- 263 replies

Official Canadian Newsstand Cover Price V****** Thread
davidpg replied to davidpg's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
These are fun books absolutely. I do love the 11 with the Dave Stevens cover, and the 5 is actually a bondage cover that nobody talks about. -
Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???
davidpg replied to InfantTerrible's topic in Comics General
Yeah I've been keeping track on an Excel sheet of MCS auctions of items similar to what I'm planning on selling soon. Lately things there have been slow and lower prices being realized. I grabbed my first ever slab on last weeks auction...by accident. With what I thought was going to be a placeholder bid! -

Yeah, you gotta start realizing the news does less informing and more sensationalizing. The general population find ''hoarding'' fascinating, so people will more likely listen.

I picked up some Elvira's House of Mystery CPVs this weekend, including the Dave Stevens issue...pics forthcoming! -
I watched this last week, and it lost my attention quite quickly. I love funny stuff, I enjoy old horror stuff. I guess I just really don't enjoy the mixing of the two and that goes back to Evil Dead 2. I was a kid when those movies camne out and I wore outy a VHS copy of the original Evil Dead. I saw 2 in the theatre asap when it came out and I was really disappointed, and I was 14 or so at the time. So I guess it's just me ;)
